Alpha Divided
Alpha Girl #3
by Aileen Erin
Published: October 14, 2014
Publisher: Ink Monster, LLC
Genre: Paranormal, Young Adult
Blurb:
Life has been crazy since Tessa McCaide moved to Texas.
She’s gone from being a normal-ish girl with visions to a super-powered
werewolf. She’s fought off vampires and broken a nearly unbreakable curse. And
she’s got a hot mate, Dastien Laurent, to keep her busy.
Things are looking up until the full moon ceremony rolls
around. Before Tessa can strengthen her bond with Dastien, the local coven
crashes the gates, demanding that Tessa—their heir apparent—be returned. If the
pack wants to avoid a war with the witches, handing Tessa over is the only
option.
Tessa doesn’t want to cause an all-out fight, but joining a
dark-magic coven isn’t on her to-do list, especially if embracing her magic
side means parting with Dastien. When the coven leader tries to control Tessa
with dark-magic, Tessa realizes she has to dismantle the coven or prepare the
pack for war. Either choice will change her life—and her world—forever.
My Review:
Wow! It is Tessa’s eighteenth birthday and she is
celebrating at her home with all of her new friends and Dastien of course.
Tessa and Dastien are both happy as they will be having their bonding ceremony
tonight as well to strengthen their relationship and to also kind of let
everyone know that they belong together as if the wolves needed any further
reminding. No just seeing the two together and doing their talking to each
other in their heads thingy is enough for the wolves.
Once the ceremony begins Luciana the head of the witch’s
coven interrupts causing chaos among the wolves. The witches were not invited to the bonding
ceremony and are not allowed on wolf property. After moving to Texas Tessa
learned that she is a witch and has been chosen to be the next leader of the
coven. That is why Luciana is there to take Tessa back to live with the coven
so she can be trained to take over after her reign.
Needless to say Tessa refused right away and of course
Dastien was having no part of it. Then Luciana tells them there will be a war
and a lot of witches and wolves will die in the process if she doesn’t agree to
go with them.
Tessa doesn’t want any more bloodshed because of her so
agrees to go back with Luciana and spend one lunar cycle with the witches. But
she has no intention of being a leader. While she is there she will learn magic
and how to use it to strength her powers and she will help them to find a
leader.
Tessa didn’t want to make this agreement with Luciana
because she will be a way from Dastien and without their mate connection. Can
their wolves live with this? Can they be apart without going mad?
Soon after arriving at the coven Tessa finds out that
Luciana may have more up her sleeve than she first thought. Tessa learns that
Luciana may be practicing dark magic. Does Luciana truly want Tessa to be the
leader? Or does she want something more dark and evil? Can Tessa save the pack?
Can she prevent war from coming? Can she stop Luciana before it is too late?
Will she ever see her mate again?
The Alpha Girl series is on amazing series. I think I have
said that before. Hmmm. Deja vu anyone? Each and every book just gets better
and better. It is filled with action and every page. Alpha Divided took my
attention on the first page and hasn’t let go yet.
I like seeing Tessa and Dastien together and using their
mind speaking abilities and weirding everyone out. I can’t wait to jump into
the next book Bruja. When is this bonding thing between Tessa and Dastien going
to actually take place? For that matter what about Meredith and Donovan?
I would recommend Alpha Divided to anyone who likes reading
about werewolves, witches, paranormal and rotten bad smelling vampires with a
little romance on the side.
