Blurb:
What would you do if you were the last person on Earth?
The outbreak of the S1 Virus in China is breaking news all
over the globe – it is killing apes by the hundreds.
Erika, who has a pretty good life in Johannesburg, South
Africa, is little concerned with wildlife disasters so far away.
But when Erika falls ill and is bedridden for a couple of
days, the world is not as she left it.
An empty city greets her the day she sets foot outside her
door. Abandoned cars, a creepy silence, and hollow-eyed corpses is all she
finds.
Alone, frightened, and heartbroken, she must now find a way
to survive this apocalyptic world she has woken up to. Does she have the will,
the strength, and the ingenuity to survive?
Against all odds she has one thing going for her – she’s
resilient.
My Review:
A virus sweeps across the world killing almost everyone in
its path. A young woman, Erika a bad headache and a sore throat one day and
decides to go to bed to rest for a few hours she wakes up a few days later and
her world has changed tremendously. While she was sick in bed everyone else was
dying. Ericka now finds herself alone in a dead and empty world.
She must find a way to survive in a world devoid of people.
Ericka soon adapts to her new way of living. She is very resilient in her planning
and stocks up on supplies and starts a vegetable garden.
Ericka runs into a few people during her travels into town
for supplies. Resilient is their story of how they survive the end of the
world. Ericka 's new friends are not the only ones they meet on their journeys
no there is a new group of people left in this new world and they call them the
Resilient. Resilient are zombie like creatures only they are still alive and
not dead. They have changed so much in appearance and attack people like
zombies.
Resilient is a very intense and enthralling read that had me
flipping the pages to see how our wonderful group of survivors were making out
and to see what else they world discover in this new world. I don't know why
but I love these end of the world books and can't seem to get enough of them. I
want to read every one I can get my hands on.
If you like zombies or end of the world books then you are
going to fall in love with Resilient. I would like to suggest that you one
click yourself a copy today and follow Ericka on her survival journey and
fighting the Resilient.
