My Review:

When I read the summary for The Stars Forgot Us I knew right away that I had to read it. I just had to know more about those missing children and this mysterious runaway teenager. Why were the children missing and in the middle of the night? Who would take the children? What do they want with them? Who is this mysterious teenager? Why did she run away? Where did she come from? Oh, man, so many questions.

When I opened The Stars Forgot Us and turned to that first page I didn’t know quite what to expect but what I was expecting did not lie between those pages. I was surprised by The Stars Forgot Us from that first word right up until the last. It kept me on my toes not being able to turn those pages fast enough with just trying to figure it all out.

In the opening pages of The Stars Forgot Us fifteen-year-old Jacob Kelly, his mom, and his older brother move into a new house. Shortly after moving in Jacob meets this teenage girl, Sanctuary Daniels or Ary for short. Ary has taken up residence in his home.

After hearing Ary’s story Jacob wants to do the right thing by calling the police but she is terribly against it begging him not to call the police or tell his mom or anyone else that she is there. Jacob does as she asks, he keeps her secret.

But he does tell his friend Lucas that she is there I mean after all he did bring her there, right? Well, according to Ary’s story he did. But after he talks to Lucas he finds out that Ary was lying to him. Lucas doesn’t believe Ary is staying with Jacob. He decides to see for himself if Jacob is telling him the truth or not and comes over.

At this point, my brain is shouting haunted house and ghost over and over. Yeah, I really thought at this point I had it all figured out boy was I wrong. I’m thinking yeah, Lucas is coming over to see Ary but he won’t be able to see her as Jacob is the only one who can. I was wrong, Lucas could see her. Well, man imagine my shock. I was like whoa, wait a minute if she is not a ghost then who is she and why has she taken up residence in Jacob’s home?

By this time I am lost as to what is going on but I am lost in the story itself as well. I am racing to the end to see what is going on. I can’t turn those pages fast enough. The secrets and the twists just keep rolling out page after page giving me one shock after another. Oh, man, there were some pretty dark twists and secrets that I never saw coming. They just kept slamming me in the face over and over again leaving me flabbergasted every time.

If you are looking for a great paranormal story then look no further as I do believe that The Stars Forgot Us just may be what you are looking for. Pick up a copy of The Stars Forgot Us today for a wonderful story set in an amazing world full of secrets and some pretty dark twists that just keep coming!
