Interview with Alexis Levesque
What is your schedule like when you’re writing a book?
I usually planned the tasks and the To-dos in the morning and complete them later at night once the kids are in bed. I would sometime work on the project over lunch time as well.
Did you ever consider writing under a pseudonym?
No I never did. Maybe if I was writing a different genre of books but I don’t think it’s necessary for a children’s book.
Have you ever gotten reader’s block?
No.
Does your family support your career as a writer?
Writing books is not my career. I have a full time job as a military engineer. My family fully support my career and are proud that I publish a book with my own child as the main character.
Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?
To be original for sure. Readers also need and want a book about dirt bikes. The moto families needed this!
How do you celebrate when you finish your book?
I had a glass of wine.
If you could be mentored by a famous author, who would it be?
Both Penny Sansevieri and Amy Cornell from the Book marketing tips and autho0r success Podcast ! I have listened almost all of their content and I love how they present it.
