I warn all my dates: Don’t fall for me.
I’m good for a date or two of no-strings fun, but then I’m a ghost.

Until the sheriff. He saves me from a jerky ex-date. Now I owe him a favor. Almost a decade older than me, funny, and insanely attractive, my chemistry with Seth is off the charts. His post-divorce hurt makes me want to heal his wounded soul. For the first time in ever, I say no. He doesn’t deserve my heartbreaking ways. I tell myself I must walk away since me dating law enforcement is a no-can-do. I’m not a felon, but I do have connections from my past that make it dangerous. If I’m truthful, it’s self-preservation. Seth threatens to awaken the desiccated organ inside my chest.

Then he needs a favor.
Calling in favors becomes our not-dating game.

I should have stopped helping him. I should have left well enough alone. But I just couldn’t resist. I have a connection to this guy. One that has me acting irrationally. One that snags the attention of the gang leader I wished would leave me alone.
I want to nurture our burgeoning spark, but I must protect us from the deadly dangers of my past.

Hesi-dating features a hesitant sheriff, a player girl hiding a big heart and dangerous past, a lame horse, and the world’s worst home security dog. It stands alone and comes complete with sibling meddling, an awkward naked handcuffs scene, and a sweetly satisfying happily ever after.

My Review:

Hesi-Dating is about two people who have things in their past that they can’t let go of. Things that follow them wherever they go. Hesi-Dating tells the stories of Jolie and Seth.

Jolie is a girl with a past that she is trying very hard to keep there. She is hiding from someone in her past. Someone who is overly protective of her. If her past catches up with her it could cost her the lives of her foster brothers and sisters.

Seth is a sheriff who is going through or has just gotten a divorce. He is having a hard time getting over his marriage. He is trying to move on but is having a difficult time doing so.

Jolie and Seth meet on a dating app and decide to give dating a try. Jolie is not the dating type per se. She will go out with a guy on one or two dates maybe but no more. She has a past to deal with and she doesn't want to get her dates involved in any of it.

Jolie and Seth start their not-dating when Seth needs a favor from Jolie which then leads to more favors being met with date after date but not a real date of course.

I loved the comedy side of Hesi-Dating. I loved the banter between Seth and Jolie. Their relationship or not-relationship was very well done. The descriptions were all so well done making me feel as if I was a part of their story or at least witnessing each and every minute of it.

I also liked the fact that Hesi-Dating had more to it than just romance as it had lots of suspense to keep the pages turning. I couldn’t turn them fast enough as I wanted to know it all as quick as possible. I wanted so bad to know what went on in Jolie’s past and why there was someone in her past keeping too close of an eye on her. I wanted to know why her family had been targeted.

If you like a good romance with a little suspense thrown in then let me suggest that you give Hesi-Dating a try by picking up a copy today!
