Book Tour: Blindsighted Wanderer By E.C. Hibbs @ECHibbs @GHBTours #Giveaway

Blindsighted Wanderer
By- E.C. Hibbs
Genre- Young Adult Fantasy, Coming of Age

The Wall has long kept Elitland Valley safe from the demons on the other side. For centuries the villagers have avoided speaking of the Wall or the creatures it protects them from.

Upon their return from the annual Country Fayre, the older Atego brothers learn of their father's passing. When fifteen year old Silas Atego learns the mysterious illness that took his father might have been a curse from a demon, his need for answers draws him to the one place he must not go.  The far side of the Wall.

When Silas is still missing days later, his older brother Raphael sets out on his own to bring him home.  On his journey, Raphael learns how it was his ancestor who was cursed by a demon creature from the Lake and had the Wall built to keep them out. More desperate than ever to find his brother, his search draws Raphael to the same terrifying barrier.

Along the brothers' individual travels they face their greatest fears, make lifelong friends, and more importantly, learn the truth of what happened centuries ago.

Blindsighted Wanderer is a tale about how truth and forgiveness will set you free.  Where myths are transformed to legends that last a lifetime.  The brothers leave their home as desperate boys but return to their family as honorable men.

Excerpt-
Merrin gazed at Raphael in silence, and her fin gradually slowed to a gentle wave. She ran a hand along her gown, feeling the soft material beneath her fingers.

Love. The word spilled a thousand connotations, and she mulled over them behind a wordless façade. Love had its place in the world. It was a brittle alliance. Allowing it to overstep its boundaries, one might as well hand over a blade, and bear the heart to receive it.

That was what she thought for so long. But sitting there, in the company of a human, she felt a shred of doubt.

After all, Merrin, she heard herself mutter, was it not love that you felt for Father? Grandfather? And what do you feel for Dylana, Lailes, Anula, Uncle Lorelen? And what of Penro? What else is it than love? For all the loves you have ever known and felt, how many of them have ever broken you? One, Merrin. Only one.

"I have never met a human like you, Raphael Atégo," she admitted.

He looked up at her. "Is that a bad thing?"

Their eyes met. Merrin distantly wondered, why was she not snarling at him to address her as Your Highness? Why had she never done that with him?

"No," she said eventually, barely above a whisper. "No, it is not."

Character Bios!
Raphael Atego

Raphael is the eldest of the Atego children, and is a happy young man who loves to laugh, always with a joke or song to sing. His father's death forces him to become the new head of the household, despite the responsibility clashing with his carefree and humorous nature. He has a strong bond with his brother Silas, and looks out for his family in his own way.

Princess Merrin

Merrin is the revered Princess of the Asrae. Although already hundreds of years old and possessing powerful magic, she is still young and training under her tutor, Mistress Dylana. But Merrin's beauty hides a bitter, furious countenance, as she still reels from a betrayal that almost cost her life centuries ago. As her time to become Queen draws near, she must learn some valuable lessons of forgiveness and acceptance, before her lust for revenge can destroy her.

Silas Atego

Silas is the second eldest Atego son. Although he is close to Raphael, Silas assumes the responsibilities which are arguably his older brother's to bear. Silas is stern, quiet, brooding, and extremely observant, leading many to view him with a wary respect. Although he may not always show it, his devotion to his family is utmost, and is enough to lead him on to chance the danger of the forbidden west.

Irima Pearl Spring

Irima arrives in the Elitland with her group of fellow travellers. As the niece of the troupe leader, she carries her own special title: Pearl Spring. She is a bubbly and clever girl, being skilled in both healing and playing the shawm. She also keeps a journal, in which she documents all the places she has visited. Although originally come purely for the Fayre, Irima soon finds herself swept up in the plight of the Atego brothers: an experience which will challenge her resolve.

Mistress Dylana

Dylana is one of the oldest Asrae in the lake, having witnessed thousands of years of water life. As a result, her magic is extremely powerful. However, despite her age, she still has her wits about her, and will not be talked down to. She and her pupil Merrin hold a love-hate relationship, as Dylana strives to guide the Princess in her ascent to the throne. Dylana is one of the few able to speak with Merrin on an even footing, yet she knows how to keep her own well of knowledge hidden.

Garret Shadow Mask

Shadow Mask is the troupe leader of the Peregrin. Although he is only in his late twenties, he is a great figurehead and is well thought of by all, especially Irima. He can appear formidable to those he does not trust, but this threatening exterior belies his truly caring personality. He is also never hesitant to throw a good party, much to the love of his people.

About the Author-
E. C. Hibbs has lived all her life in Cheshire, northwest England. A lover of stories from an early age, she wrote her first 'book' when she was five, and throughout school was a frequent visitor to the younger classes to read her tales to the children.

Living so near the coast, she loves anything to do with the sea. She studied Animal Behaviour at university and longs to work with marine mammals in the future. As well as nature and animals, she also has a soft spot for history, and loves paying visits to castles, cathedrals and museums.

There are many things she could be without, but writing isn't one of them. She carries a pen everywhere, in case an idea appears, and takes pride in still seeing the world as brimming with magic. Besides writing, she reads obsessively, her favourite genres being the classics and all kinds of fantasy. She also enjoys Disney and horror films, practising Shotokan karate, drawing, archery, and playing with her very cheeky kitten.
