My Review:
City Of Lies starts a little on the dark side but then it lightens up a tad as the many twists and turns keep me racing through each page to see what might happen next.
City Of Lies tells the story of a woman, Claire Preston, who finds out she was adopted recently, after the death of her mother. She sets out to find out who she is with the help of seasoned private investigator, Jake Sterling.
City Of Lies is filled with many secrets that it revealed slowly keeping me glued to the pages. I couldn't stop reading as I raced to the end wanting to know the whole story.
I loved the world that was created for City Of Lies it reminded me of a lot of those old TV shows like Mannix, The Rockford Files, Jake and the Fat Man, and Magnum, P.I. to name a few.
Claire and Jake find themselves in danger as a dangerous person is following them. I can only imagine the fear of being chased by someone more than likely out to do you harm or maybe even kill you. The more Claire digs into her past the more dangerous it becomes for her.
I highly recommend City of Lies to all thriller or mystery fans! Grab a copy of City of Lies today!
