The mighty Craniopolis falls, but a darker shadow takes its place.

The shocking revelation that the sovereign leader is alive rocks the survivors. The factions unite, but motives are suspect and mistrust runs deep among former foes. Rumors surface of a murderer at large within the city and Derry’s leadership as head of the new Council is further plagued when the sweeps resume and the Undergrounders are forced to restart the toxic Superconductor. Aided by the mysterious archer, Lou, Derry devises a last-ditch plan to pull off the unthinkable and strike at the heart of the sovereign leader’s regime. But, there’s more at stake than Derry realizes, and the forces she encounters are even more deadly than she imagined.

Locked in a gripping race against time, The Undergrounders’ final stand unleashes a chaos that can only end in death or victory.

Judgement is the third book in The Undergrounders Series, a sci-fi dystopian thriller trilogy with a gritty complex heroine and twists you won’t see coming!

My Review:

In Judgement Derry and her friends are back and have finally saved everyone from the Sweepers. They have put Craniopolis out of operation and have stopped the Sweepers from extracting people. They are now all living happily and safe in Shoshane City with the riders, the Undergrounders, the clones and everyone else. Well they believe they are safe until they intercept a message that was meant for Craniopolis. They find out that Craniopolis is not the only place that is creating clones. They learn that they may be other places out there like Craniopolis that is experimenting on people. Derry is now very determined to stop the other outposts before they learn that Craniopolis has been put out of commission and they send more Sweepers their way.

While Derry is getting everyone ready for battle she has a lot more problems on the home front that has her upset but there isn’t much she can do about it but just let it be for the moment. Not only does she have to worry about the Sweepers but she also has to deal with the rogues as well. She thought that maybe she and the rogues were even but she soon learns that with rogues that is not the case. Most of them are only out for number one and will kill if that is what it takes to be number one but they are also some good folks that are rogues and they are also some that just like to play fair. The latter may be just what has saved Derry’s butt on occasion.

Is Derry ready for another fight? Are her and her friends capable of fighting so close on the tail end of their last fight with the Sweepers? Well if they want to live then they had better be. Because once they arrive the sweeping will start all up again if they can’t stop them for good this time or so they hope.

The Sweepers won’t know what has hit them when they meet up with Derry for the first time. Derry is a very strong and willed person for someone so young. She is also a very smart person. But she was taught by the best, Big Ed, an Undergrounder like herself. Yeah ole’ Big Ed finds a campion and maybe a little love like Derry and Sven, Owen and Nikki and like some others too. Yeah even clones can fall in love.

I have really and truly loved following Derry, Jerome, Rummy, Sven, Owen, The Ghost and others on their journeys to stop the Sweepers. I have enjoyed learning of their lives as Undergrounders and the traveled along with them on their stay in the city of Shoshane. I love the world that the Norma Hinkens has created for The Undergrounders. It is unlike anything I have read before. I would definitely recommend The Undergrounders Series to anyone who loves a good story. It will leave you wanting more. I would suggest that you start with the first book in the series Immurement and then go on to the next one Embattlement and then Judgement. Yeah you would need to read them in order so that you will know what is going and you want be confused about anything. The Undergrounders is one of those series you would like to see on the big screen.
