Excerpt Tour + #Giveaway: Flood by Elaine Cantrell @ElaineCantrell @GoddessFish
Flood
by Elaine
Cantrell
GENRE:
Contemporary Romantic Suspense
BLURB:
Drawn together by
their love of animals, Aria DeLuca and Caleb Hawkins burn for each other. They
never suspected that malignant forces were successfully plotting Caleb’s ruin
from the moment he entered her life.
When the flood of a
century strikes Aria’s hometown, an alienated Caleb is all that stands between
her and catastrophic loss.
Excerpt:
She stared at Caleb as he neared her
truck. The evening was warm, but he was wearing jeans, and he didn’t need them
in this heat. Probably, he didn’t have any shorts. The money she paid him
wouldn’t go far, and he did have his rent to pay. Not that he didn’t look good
in the jeans. They had molded themselves to his lean hips just as his blue tee
shirt molded itself to his chest. My oh my! Bring me a fan!
He slid into the truck along with
the clean scent of the soap he’d used.
Who knew soap could smell so sexy? “Well, you cleaned up okay,” she
teased as Peaches rubbed her head on his chest and howled a bit.
He laughed. “So do you. That peachy
color suits you.”
Warmth chased through her veins. She
felt the heat in her cheeks. “Thank you.”
