Virtual Book Tour + #Giveaway: Silent All These Years by T.A. Massa @TiffaniMassa @RABTBookTours
Melanie is trapped with crippling anxiety after the loss of her mother at a young age and the fatal stabbing of her fiancé on the night of their engagement.
When she discovers she has been written into the will of Roger Andrews, a name linked to the mysterious death of her mother, Melanie must trudge down a path of buried memories, reliving painful heartache, all while attempting to restart her life and trust a new admirer, Jake Andrews, Roger’s grandson.
Told from the alternating perspectives of Melanie’s investigation and Marilyn’s last weeks leading up to her death, the clues unravel one by one, leaving you guessing until the final climax. Who should Melanie trust? What happened to Marilyn all those years ago?
SILENT ALL THESE YEARS: A Novel is a Standalone Fiction Mystery Suspense Novel.
Interview with T. A. Massa
Can you tell us a little bit about the
characters in Silent All These Years: A Novel?
Melanie is the main
character – she is an anxious mess and grieving the loss of her mother and her
fiancé Nathan. She is paralyzed in life by the tragedies.
Marilyn is her mother
– The story switches POV’s back to 1983 and you see her mother side of the
story and the two weeks leading up to her death. Marilyn is a single mom trying
to make a better life for her and her daughter.
Jake – Melanie meets
Jake, a rich jerk of a guy, who she wants to give a chance.
Can you tell us a little bit about your next
books or what you have planned for the future?
I plan to continue
blogging on my blog Pages & Lace and also work on my second novel.
My blog is my creative
passion where I share inspiration, motivation, and about my journey through
motherhood and trying to live my best life. I want my blog to be a community
for my friends to feel welcome to talk about things we struggle with and also
be inspired to try new things.
My second novel is also
a mystery suspense novel, and I have already started it. I hope to have it
published by Fall of 2019.
How long would you say it takes you to write a
book?
My first novel took me
two years to write, but I had to learn a lot along the way. It was my first
attempt at writing a long story. I am hoping my second novel takes half of that
time. That is my goal anyway!
What is your favorite childhood book?
Honestly I didn’t
start reading until I was in high school, and my favorite books were V.C.
Andrews. Do you remember Flowers in the Attic? This book and later movie, made
me fall in love with mystery.
If you could spend the day with one of the
characters from Silent All These Years who would it be? Please tell us why you
chose this particular character, where you would go and what you would do.
I would spend the day
with Marilyn. She was written to be similar to my own mother, who also died
when I was three. I would love to be able to spend one day with her and learn
everything there was to know about her.
What was the hardest scene from Silent All These
Years to write?
The scene of Marilyn’s
death. The hardest and also the most cathartic.
What made you want to become a writer?
I love writing. I have
always wanted to share my work with others and inspire emotions in them. Story
telling is my favorite.
Just for fun
