You can run and you can hide…but not forever.
After successfully identifying the cause of all the drama last month,
Winter is ready to put it behind her and focus on getting her family's business
up off the ground again. Unfortunately, the Malley family is circling like
vultures, ready to come in and gobble up the crumbling remains of Lago
Caverns.
Winter's not about to let that happen, but her focus is pulled away when her
beloved aunt starts receiving threatening notes. Getting to the bottom of this
mystery doesn't only put her aunt and the caverns at risk—Winter's life also
hangs in the balance.

My Review:
Winter loves working in the family business. Her family owns
Lago Caverns where they do tours of the caves. Winter loves doing the tours and
telling stories to the customers.
Winter is in love with one of the ghost that lives in the
caverns. She wants to spend more time with him but he keeps disappearing on
her. While he is disappearing other ghosts are showing up and causing a ruckus
among the customers. Winter is getting worried about the ghosts and what they
may do or is it really ghosts that are causing the entire disturbance?
Someone is sending Winter’s aunt threating letters and
leaving little surprises at the caverns and the house. Winter cares very much
for her aunt and is determined to get to the bottom of it if it is the last
thing she does. An old boyfriend from her aunts past shows up out of the blue
one day. Why has this old boyfriend come visiting now? What does he want?
Dark Refrains is a fast and very enjoyable read. I love all
the characters and the world of the ghost. I love hearing Winter tell her
stories. I can’t seem to get enough of this world of Winter’s Cavern. I can’t
wait for the next book in the series.
I highly recommend Dark Refrains to all fans of ghost
stories.
