My Review:
Skin Dominion picks up right where Skin Rebellion left off
with Sentin trying to convince Milla that she needs to become President
Morelle. Milla is not so sure that she should become the president no she
thinks Sentin should be the president. But Sentin finally convinces Milla to
take the president’s skin and become the president.
Milla really wants to change everything for Old Triton make things
better for the people like give them more food, make their jobs better for them
and give them homes of their own so they don’t have to live in shelters anymore.
Milla wants to make everything fair for everyone in Old Triton and New Triton
both. She wants to give the people in Old Triton the same kind of lives as the
people in New Triton.
When Milla steps into President Morelle’s skin she can feel
the power that it gives her both physically and mentally. Can all this power
become addictive? Can Milla stay her own sweet self or will she become so
enthralled with all that power and let it turn her into something she is not?
Once Milla steps into the president’s skin she soon realizes
that the changes that she wants to make may not be as easy as she believed them
to be. She learns that there are other obstacles that stand in her way as well
as other people that can block her. She soon learns that some of her choices
could cause chaos and maybe even war among the people.
Skin Dominion is filled with betrayal after betrayal and
twists after twists that will keep you flipping the pages with the adrenaline
pumping wanting to know what is going to happen next and how Milla is going to
be accepted by the people as President Morell.
Skin Dominion had me guessing from the beginning as to how
it was all going to turn out. So you can image my surprise when I am close to
the end and there is a big twist in the story that just blew my mind I was like
what, wait no way come on man I can’t believe this but I loved it even though I
did have to pick my jaw up off the floor. What an amazing climax and truly
wonderful ending to a fantastic story. I am so sad to see this storying ending.
It would be nice to one day hopefully see our characters in the Skin Hunter
world again to see how their lives turn out in their new world maybe with a new
villain and maybe more skins.
I highly recommend Skin Dominion and the other two books in
the Skin Hunter trilogy to all science fiction, futuristic or apocalyptic
fans.
