What is your favorite part of the book?
I’d have to say the dance club scene. It reminds me of when I would sneak into the club when I was in college. It was a fun, suspenseful and emotional scene.
Does your book have a lesson? Moral?
I love that you ask if there is a message in my novels. The message is that there is “My story, your story and the truth lie in the middle.”
Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?
The characters are a mashup of friends and my imagination.
Of all the characters you have created, which is your favorite and why?
In this book, my favorite is definitely Emvee, but I do think that Megan is a close second in the Vigilant series.
What character in your book are you least likely to get along with?
Megan would be the character I would least get along with because I would eventually see through her mask.
What would the main character in your book have to say about you?
Well, my main character has a lot of my qualities as she is the oldest sibling of four and so am I.
Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?
I have many messages within the pages of Insatiable Darkness which is part of the Vigilant Series. The complete series includes the character origin stories and their full novel. Insatiable Darkness is an origin story for EmVee Lewis who is a female boxer that is trying to carve out her place as the oldest child and protector for her family. The novellas within this series unfold a mystery that is only revealed when you read the perspective of each sibling hero. Also, my coming book, Lost (The Misfits Series) is a spin off to the Vigilant series.
