Death Riders MC, Book 7
MC Romance

An act of savage violence shatters Keres’s life. Her heart and soul demands vengeance. To hunt a monster, she must become a monster.
Ronin is tracking the person who’s been sniping his marks, and is surprised when he finds the beautiful red-head wielding the deadly knife.
Sparks fly between them. Not of love, but of anger. They don’t trust one another, yet can’t seem to deny their attraction.
When the Death Riders are attacked, her sacrifice is demanded. The unsteady foundation she’d been balancing upon crumbles, leaving her to face alone the nightmare that created her.
Interview with Beth D. Carter
What is your favorite part of the book?
Lady Death starts out dark and sad. It’s a story about vengeance and overcoming tragedy, so I wanted to be respectful to the triggers I included. Building the romance and tension between the hero Ronin and the heroine Keres had to be a journey. Helping both characters heal was my favorite part of this book.
Does your book have a lesson? Moral?
Not directly, but it does focus on healing and learning it’s okay to be vulnerable after living through hell.
Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?
I work in retail, so people I can’t stand will usually end up in my books in some form or another. It’s cathartic to fake-kill them off.
Of all the characters you have created, which is your favorite and why?
In Book 3 in this series, I introduce a character named Vivi. Her story is in Book 4 titled Shadow Obsession. What’s fun about her is that she has diarrhea of the mouth. Whatever is in her head spills out and she’s frickin’ hilarious. I enjoyed just letting her ramble.
What character in your book are you least likely to get along with?
Interesting question. Maybe all those people I fake-killed off.
What would the main character in your book have to say about you?
I honestly don’t know.
Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?
I try to write standalones but I usually end up with secondary characters I like too much to let them go. So, I always create a character with the thought that I might use him or her one day. A lot of my books have cameos of other characters or I extend the world I’ve created.
Thank you so much for having me!

Hi Beth,
I am glad you could be here! You are welcome anytime!
About the Author
I began reading my mom’s Harlequin Presents in the fifth grade, and my love for romance was born and from that first book, I knew I wanted to write romance novels. My first book was finally accepted for publishing in 2009. Since then, I’ve become a best selling author writing in many different genres. I try to write characters who aren't cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I strive to create characters who are complex and full of flaws. Deep passion romance between heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.
