In the realm of the
dead, there are no lies.
Hope
Nicholas is desperate to believe that the truth will set her free from the
bindings of Apollo's curse. But to get the truth, she must travel to the
Underworld, a feat near impossible for the living. The gods there have their
own agendas and, forced to forge alliances with the most unlikely allies, Hope
will find that death is not the worst torment of the Underworld.
Athan
Michael spent months chasing Hope, only to have her disappear once again. And
when he discovers her destination, he knows the treacherous journey to the
Underworld is one he cannot take alone. Forced to put aside his past with Xan
and Dahlia, the three demigods embark on their own quest. But the past will not
stay buried, and Athan must decide how much he’s willing to sacrifice to help
Hope break the curse.
Told
in duel points of view, Myths of Immortality is a tense, action-packed story
that will leave you begging for the next installment of The Sphinx series.

My
Review of Myths of Immortality:
Hope
has disappeared once again she is desperate to break her curse; the curse of
the Sphinx and she has a new lead that takes her to the underworld. When Athan
makes this discovery he is determined to follow her into the realm of the dead.
He can’t make the trip alone as he is just getting over the Skia attack so he
takes Xan and Dahlia with him. Like Xan is going to let him go after Hope
without him, right.
In
the realm of the dead there are no lies so you need to pick your words wisely
or else you could end up in a world of trouble. And it doesn’t take our witty heroine
long to figure this one out. Athan, Xan, Dahlia and Hope all have their own
little roads to travel down while in the underworld. They meet loved ones from
their past and with the help and knowledge of these loved ones they are now
able to move forward with their lives although it make take some time.
Each
of our characters, Athan, Hope, Xan, Dahlia all have to do some wheeling and
dealing as well as make some sacrifices in order to get want they want or came
to the underworld for. Can they make the sacrifices that they each need to make
in order to make their trip to the underworld feasible?
I
think I started reading Myths of Immortality on one of the worst days of the
year which was Christmas Eve one of the busiest days of the year and with
Christmas Day being the next day of course so therefor hardly any reading was
accomplished.
But
that did not stop me from thoroughly enjoying following Hope on her journey of
trying to find a cure for her curse. I have loved reading about all the Gods
and Goddess’ and their legends & Myths. My journey with Hope began with
Curse of the Sphinx and then went on with Demons and Monsters and now with
Myths of Immortality and I hope it doesn’t end here. I am anxiously waiting for
the next book in the Sphinx series. Sphinx is one amazing series that I can’t
seem to get enough of.
Raye
Wagner has a way of making the myths, demons, gods, goddess all jump out at you
and then grab you and pull you right in as if you were a part of their story.
She knows just how to make all of the characters seem as if they are real and a
part of our world.
If
you have not read any of the Sphinx books then I would like to suggest that you
pick up your copies today and begin the journey of finding the cure for Hope’s
curse.

Author Bio:
Raye Wagner grew up in an urban
fantasy just outside of Seattle, Washington. As the second of eight children,
she was surrounded by monsters, demons, and her sometimes mortal parents. She
read heaps of fantasy while locked away in the upstairs room of the family
cottage.
Raye studied the art of medicine
long before she had an interest in the Gods on Mount Olympus.
One sunny afternoon, the history of
Apollo’s ancient curse and the myth of the Sphinx dropped into Raye’s
consciousness. She writes young adult fiction for teens and adults.
Curse of the Sphinx, a YA urban mythology, is her first novel. Demigods and
Monsters, the second book in the Sphinx series, will be released April 2016.
