What inspired you to write NINJA GIRL?
Hi
there! I don't think this is typical,
but I usually come up with a book title then go from there--and NINJA GIRL just
seemed like a fantastic name for a book :).
Next, I thought about the plot. I
knew immediately it would be YA romance and that I wanted to do my twist on the
typical bodyguard story. In NINJA GIRL,
a kickass seventeen-year-old girl is hired to be the bodyguard of a
smooth-talking bad boy/good guy. The
result was a fun, girl-power, opposites-attract YA action romance that I love
and hope readers will as well :).
Can you tell us a little bit about the next
books in NINJA GIRL series or what you have planned for the future?
Yes,
of course! I have a couple of books
planned. One of them is already
complete, and it's a YA that I love and wrote several years ago. It's got mystery, humor and, of course, a
good helping of romance. I've also
started a YA romance that features a character introduced in NINJA GIRL!
Can you tell us a little bit about the
characters in NINJA GIRL?
Absolutely,
the main characters of NINJA GIRL are Snow and Ash.
Snow-Soon
Lee: 17-year-old female, obsessed with Bruce Lee, martial arts lover, likes
chick flicks, never been kissed.
Ash Stryker: 17-year-old male, passionate
about soccer, country music listener, likes girls that can kick his ass, an
irresistible mix of cocky bad boy/charming good guy.
Opposites
attract, and I just knew they would be a perfect match <3.
You know I think we all have a favorite
author. Who is your favorite author and why?
My
favorite author is J.K. Rowling because the Harry
Potter books are what made me love reading.
She created a world with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Professor Snape
and all of the wonderful characters at Hogwarts. She gave me and all bookworms a magical place
where good triumphs over evil and where there is nothing more powerful than
love.
If you could time-travel would you travel to
the future or the past? Where would you like to go and why would you like to
visit this particular time period?
I
would travel to the past. I would go
back to a time when my best friend and favorite person of all time was still
alive and well. I would spend as much
time as possible with her, talking, laughing, watching movies, going to the
bookstore, just being with her. I would
like to go back because I miss her every day and wish she was still here.
Do you have any little fuzzy friends? Like a
dog or a cat? Or any pets?
I
do not currently have any pets--but I love, love, love dogs! All dogs, every dog ever, they are all
beautiful and wonderful. Cats are cool,
too.
