A simple mission turned deadly.

Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father's presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn's life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.

When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

Excerpt:

A sharp, searing pain pierced my chest as I watched the guy I liked—the guy I was falling in love with—kiss another girl. With every fiber of my being, I willed myself to look away, my vision blurring in a desperate attempt to escape the agonizing scene before me. My mind failed to obey, and my gaze remained firmly glued to the couple.

Helpless, I surrendered to the nightmare, for a brief moment allowing myself to imagine that his muscular arms were, in fact, embracing me. After all, the girl’s face, with its pale complexion, high cheekbones, straight nose, and cupid-bow lips, was identical to mine. Her glossy brown hair cascaded all the way down her back, each wave perfectly matching my own. Even her slender body curved in precisely the same places. Looking at her was like gazing into the surface of a moving, breathing mirror.

She was me.

Or was I her?

She fluttered open her long, dark lashes, jolting me out of the fantasy by revealing the one perceptible difference between us: her emerald green eyes. While hauntingly beautiful, they looked nothing like my pale violet ones. She stared directly at me, tightening her grip on the one person in the world I wanted to be with. Mocking me for being too late.

“Aurora,” he whispered in her ear.

In that instant, I knew with certainty that he was not thinking about me.

My Review:

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Mayors of small towns across the United States wanted vampires to live in their towns so they launched the Vampire Immigration Campaign that offered them protection, fame, fortune, discounts to blood banks. Of course there were certain rules that both humans and vampires had to live by in order to exist peacefully together. There was two main laws that the vamps and humans had to live by the first stated that "no vampire is allowed to draw blood from an unwilling human". They had to amend to the original version to add the word unwilling as some teenagers was getting upset when their parents started calling the police on their vampire boyfriends and girlfriends because they were engaging in much enjoyed necking. The second stated that "no vampire is permitted to turn a human".

Dawn is the president's only child and his star warrior all her life her father only cared about three things; her safety, education and training. She was never allowed to leave her home at Scarlet House she was always working to strengthen her mind and body. She never had the privilege of going to school dances, parties or having any friends of her own. Everything she knew she learned from books. She began combat training before she could even walk.

Dawn was sent to Angel Creek to train four misfit vampires to be guardians. Guardians are vamps that guard the town and the humans that live in the town keeping them safe from rogue vampires. Her father told her that training these vamps was going to be tricky but like most teenagers she thought she was perfect for the job. Little did she know how misfit these vamps were or how much training they were going to need. She had to convince her father that she was the right person for the job. All he wanted to do was keep Dawn at Scarlet House forever to keep her safe from the world around them. He was really no different than most fathers in this way.

Dawn is one tough girl to have gone through all the things that she experienced and still came out on top. She was one tough girl mentally as well as physically. Her father taught her a lot about being a soldier but he also taught her how to love and care about other people too. Dawn is kind of mixed up about how she feels about Ethan and Sebastian. She likes Ethan but when she with him she is always thinking about Sebastian. Does she love Ethan or does she love Sebastian? Who will she end up with? The vampires in ReVamped are way different than any other book I have ever read. Yeah, I know that I have said this before and yes it was true at that time but it is also true now as well. ReVamped is a whole new world for vampires and humans alike. The ending will throw you for a big loop. One that you will not see coming until it has slammed you in the face. I can't wait to get started on the next book ReAwakened.

Excerpt:

Sebastian was the first to break our soundless stalemate. “Don’t you get it?” he asked, towering over me. “I can’t not worry, Dawn.” His eyes pierced through mine. “You planted yourself inside my head and now I can’t get you out.”

“You should.”

“I’ve tried, believe me.”

“Well, you should try harder,” I mumbled, my fury slowly fizzling away.

He shook his head. “I’m not sure that I want to. I like how you feel inside my head.” He ran a hand through his wet hair, then rested it against the open door behind me. The gesture caused him to lean forward, bringing him even closer.

Suddenly, all I could think about was the hard curve of his full, enticing lips.

If I just tilted my head slightly

Snap out of it! my subconscious warned as I bit down on my lip.

“Those feelings that you have are a lie!” I blurted out, pulling back. “It’s all because I gave you my blood and accidentally ingested yours. It’s like some kind of a Born-Made blood curse,” I said, though, this—whatever it was—felt nothing at all like a curse.

“Are you telling me that I must ignore every single thought that’s going through my mind right now?” he asked, moving closer.

I took a tiny step back. “Yes. Definitely.”

“What about my feelings?”

“Uh-huh. Those too.”

“Every one of them?” His voice was low and husky.

“Yes,” I whispered.

“Fine.” He was saying one thing, but doing another, I realized, as he inched even closer.

“Good.” I retreated further into the partially open door.

The cool sensation of the wood soothed my burning skin. My back pressed against the door, forcing it to slam shut. Sebastian’s arm buckled under the sudden shift, sending him tumbling into me. He caught himself with his other hand mere inches before colliding with me, swiftly placing it on the other side of my head.

There was nowhere to run.

And even if I could escape, I wasn’t sure that I wanted to. My head spun as I soaked in the aromatic fragrance of his body. Soap and bare skin and something more severe. Icy. Dangerous. His breath held a hint of cool mint, and I was suddenly overcome with the desire to taste him. Trying to expel the thought, I bit down on my bottom lip, desperately pleading with my heart to still.

He’s the last person you should be thinking about kissing right now! the rational part of my mind screamed. The less rational part craved his lips and thirsted for his touch.

“Do your wounds hurt?” I asked in a frantic attempt to change the subject. I looked down at the light pink marks across his chest and arms.

“No. Do yours?” He cradled the back of my neck with his hand, gently trailing the two tiny fading scars with his thumb.

I shook my head and closed my eyes, losing myself in the sensation of his touch.

“Good,” he whispered.

An astounding wave of pleasure surged through my body as he pressed his mouth to the wound, igniting the memory of his fangs against my skin. He trailed tender kisses along the side of my neck, down to my clavicle, then back up toward my jaw. His lips grew fierce and his kisses deepened as his mouth finally found mine. I parted my lips, pulling him tighter into me, forgetting all about my intention to fight him.

My Review:

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Now here is one girl Brooke that must really love school or maybe just being prom queen is her #1 priority. Just think the only worry you have in life is being prom queen, awesome. But at the same time you feel real sad for her. But now poor Brooke is going to have to graduate because of the new law "No Vampire Left Behind" policy. Brooke can no longer keep repeating grades even if she will be seventeen forever.

Brooke, Sophie, Hunter, Seth and Dawn are all finally being initiated as guardians of Angel Creek. The residents of Angel Creek are being kind of rude saying they miss the Fab Five and that it is a good thing that Angel Creek doesn't actually need protecting. All towns or most of the towns have vampires as guardians to protect the humans from rogue vampires. Dawn was sent to Angel Creek to train these four vampires to be guardians. With this group of vampires, Dawn has had a lot of work training them. Now they are being made guardians and she still has a lot of work to do to turn them into someone that can actually protect the humans. Will she be able to turn them into guardians or will they always be misfits?

For the past three years vampires have been coming out of the coffin. They have a Vampire President and a Human President. Vampires and humans have been living openly with each other for a while now. You know humans can go to a coke machine and get a coke well now they have started making Blood Cola that vamps can get from a machine too. They also can get a Blood Vodka and other alcoholic drinks at bars or liquor stores. But I didn't read anything about a Blood Margarita. I'm sure they have them or at least I hope so. Well if I was a vampire I would love it.

Is President Twitbrook behind vampire blood-infused mutant werewolves and the disappearances of the born vampires? I don't know what it is that the Vampire President is hiding but he is hiding something. What is he hiding? Is he behind the disappearance of the born vampires? Is he being blackmailed?

Why are all the werewolves getting sick? A virus spread through the werewolves causing them all to get sick and die. A vampire came to them with a cure; the cure was drinking the blood of a born vampire. Is this the reason behind kidnapping all the born vampires?

I have never read a book about vampires quite like the Angel Creek Series. I loved the new twist on the vampires. I loved that you have made and born vampires. The Angel Creek Series is for anyone who like vampires and who would like a little something extra added to the life of a vampire.
