Genre: Spy Thriller
Jordan Shaw knows the only way to stop the man hunting her is to kill him. She also knows the other men who came after her are dead, some of their blood is on her hands, and she wouldn't have survived this long without the help of the intriguing and secretive Chase Hudson. Even though she isn't sure she can trust Chase, she believes she needs him to discover the truth.
Two days before, life was pretty good as she backpacked around Europe with her best friend. Now, everything has changed and she may not even live through the night. What started as a summer trip of self-discovery has become a dangerous journey across three countries as Jordan is forced into a world few know exist and even fewer survive. A clandestine international organization that will let nothing stand in their way has put a price on her head. Despite all the uncertainty, there are two things that she is absolutely sure of; she has one chance to out-maneuver a world class killer, and she has to make that move right now.Amazon | Barnes and Noble | iTunes
An Excertp From Trigger
The element of surprise gone, I had to act fast and with better precision. Time slowed and everything faded out of focus except for my targets. My mind, my body and my surroundings flowed together in flawless cohesion as I moved around the vehicle. I had rarely, if ever, experienced such precise clarity or finite precision in every fiber of my being as I did in that moment.
A look of complete horror flashed across Chase's face as he watched me. His mouth formed the word 'No!' but I couldn't hear any sound. It wouldn't have stopped me anyway.
Nothing could have stopped me.
I was completely committed because it was the only option if we were going to get out of there alive. Clear of the smashed car, I ran directly at the assailants with the pistol raised. Every fluid movement brought me closer to my goal. There was no wasted thought or action. There was nothing but the ultimate purpose: kill or be killed.

The best part about writing a book:
I like to talk about the writing process and what it was like putting Trigger together. How I had to learn how to write, how to edit and then how to submit the book for publication. A lot of people don't know or have never thought about how to write a book or what it takes to get a book published so it is interesting to see their reaction to how difficult and time consuming it can be.
It is also fun to see how thrilled people are for me and this accomplishment and how much they want to read the book and to talk to me about it. Writing and trying to get the book published has been something I have been immersed in for a while now so to get a fresh perspective on it and to see people be so excited about a book being published makes me feel good and helps validate all of the hard work that it took to get Trigger published.
Character Bios
Jordan Shaw
Jordan is a seemingly typical American college student backpacking through Europe for the summer with her best friend. She is smart and has a dry sense of humor. She does well in school and likes to have a good time, but is careful with how she approaches life and how she handles situations. So far, her life has been pretty ordinary, but the status quo isn't enough for her. She wants more because she feels that something is missing in her life, she just doesn't know what. While traveling things start happening around her that make her question everything, including what she knows about herself.Chase Hudson
Chase is a twenty-five year old American backpack that always happens to be in the right, or wrong place, at the right time. He is handsome, charismatic, and intelligent. At times he appears to be interested in Jordan, yet keeps her at arm's length. Chase seems to be highly trained in several areas that make Jordan question exactly what he does for a living and what his intentions are. Despite her concern over his motives she wants to trust him and finds that she needs his help whether she can trust him or not.Marcello Molinari
Marcello is an investigator for the Guardia di Finanza in Italy. He is a good-looking Italian man in his late twenties who crosses paths with Jordan and Anna when they are in Rome. Marcello is a very straight forward and honest man who would love to find love with an interesting woman. He is a gentleman with a great sense of humor and wants to always do the right thing. A case he is investigating and his own personal interests make him an integral part of the story.Anna Richards
Anna has been Jordan's best friend since grade school. They have done everything together from school and summer camp, to going on this trip to Europe. Where Jordan is more cautious and thoughtful, Anna is free-spirited and fun-loving. She likes to fly by the seat of her pants and jump in feet first before looking. Her attitude and approach to life help to keep Jordan from being too serious. Anna has a great sense of humor and loves to have a good time. She is also a very caring and considerate friend and would do anything to help someone she cares about. She is a good sounding board for Jordan and wants her to be happy and worries that she won't let herself be happy because she is so guarded.
