Blurb Blitz Tour + #Giveaway: The Young Vampire's Survival Guide by Lucy Eldritch @lucyeldritch @GoddessFish

The Young Vampire's Survival Guide
by Lucy Eldritch
GENRE: Vampire/Urban fantasy/Paranormal/Horror

BLURB:

Within a month of being bitten, it cost the life of Robert James' best friend. Within a year, hundreds had died. All because of him.

Until he was bitten, Robert James was a regular college student. Now he seems to be the reluctant future of vampire kind and his world has been turned upside down. Pursued by the Dawn Warriors - a group dedicated to cleansing the world of evil - Robert's survival is at stake. Literally.

EXCERPT:

Outside, the cloying thickness of mouldering food mingled with an almost tangible damp smell all alleyways seemed to have.

As soon as the door to the cafe creaked to a close, I moved fast - so quick, in fact, that she never even had time to look shocked as I clamped my hand over her mouth, pushed back her head and tore a great chunk of flesh from her neck. The smell in the alley masked the coppery stench of blood as I sunk my teeth into Stacey's throat.

I was almost too greedy as I drank from her. The Hunger overwhelmed any humanity I had left. I would have killed her, I'm sure, had a noise at the other end of the alley not stopped me.

Someone was clearing their throat. Polite, as if it was rude to interrupt.

I couldn't see the person who stood there. The far end of the alley was all formless shadows and darkness. But the voice was both feminine and familiar.

"Robert," it said, "this really isn't appropriate behaviour."

I'd already guessed the identity of the person who sent that anonymous text and who had agreed to meet me at the Cafe, so a woman's voice came as no surprise.

I was wrong.

AUTHOR BIO:

I’m Lucy Eldritch and I write paranormal-horror-urban-fantasy-vampire fiction set mainly in Manchester (the one in the UK, not the one in New Hampshire) and London. I also love red wine, but I suspect that’s not really something I should mention. Not professional. Something like that. So, consider it un-mentioned.

What book do you wish you could have written?

I wish I could have written 'The Stand' by Stephen King. Also, Lionel Shriver's 'We Need To Talk About Kevin' - that's horrifying in a whole new way.
