My Review of Freeze:
Freeze starts off with Pandora being back in prison and she
was put there by her father and some of the people she trusted the most. But
Pandora has a plan; she will escape her prison and make the ones responsible pay.
With the help of the mysterious Sam she will walk right through the glass wall
of her prison.
Pandora has no idea who or what she is and she wants answers
but no one seems willing to give her the answers she needs. Sam keeps telling
her she is not asking the right question. What is up with that? Not asking the
right questions? Come on she is asking the questions she wants answers for.
In her little prison Pandora meets a new friend; Naya, a
Werejaguar/Goddess/Necromancer. Pandora and Naya escape and Naya has promised
to help Pandora find the answers she is looking for. Pandora and Naya have
quiet the journey on their quest to finding the answers Pandora seeks. They get
to know each other pretty well on their journey but there is still so much more
to know and I can’t wait to learn more about Naya and who she is exactly and
who is her brother?
Kaitlyn knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat just
giving you enough info at one time to keep you turning the pages. As I read in
one review these characters like to hang on to their secrets and giving you no
more than you ask. As Sam says you have to ask the right question. I read
Freeze in practically one setting because I couldn’t stop turning those pages I
just had to know what Pandora was going to do next and where she was going. I
can’t wait to read the next book Fracture to see where Pandora’s journey takes
us next.
I would recommend Freeze to anyone who loves a great
adventure with a little magic on the side. Come Join Pandora and Naya on their
quest to finding the answers she needs.

Even the hottest love
can turn a girl cold-blooded...
Life's
tough for a vampire thief on the run--just ask Pandora Scott, she knows. Four
years ago she ran away from home after everyone she loved betrayed her. But now
her annoyingly grown up (and handsome) ex boyfriend is stalking her, begging
her to return. A mysterious vamp with a particularly dangerous (and sexy) stare
keeps popping unexpectedly into her life. The extremely powerful head vampire
of New York is hunting her down because she may (or may not) have broken into
his highly-secure, highly-secretive personal vault. And the fate she's been
trying to outrun? Well, it's about to catch up. Because even a super-speedy
vamp with the ability to disappear can't escape her own destiny.
A brand new spinoff
to Midnight Fire, a bestselling series with over 200,000 copies sold and over
5000 5-star reviews on Goodreads! Fans will enjoy special appearances from
Kira, Luke and Tristan while falling in love with the new characters and new
adventure of Midnight Ice.
*Please note, you do not need to read the
books of Midnight Fire to enjoy Frost (Midnight Ice Book 1). They are two
standalone series with character crossover.

Excerpt from Frost:
All she wanted to do now was forget. Forget
Jax, forget everything he'd stirred up, forget her birthday. So, she downed
another bloody cocktail, this time O-negative. And another after that. She let
the feeding frenzy take over, let the high of fresh life wash through her.
She drank.
And danced.
And lost herself in the blood and the music
and the touch of other cold bodies just like hers, searching for that little
spark of life, reveling in it.
"You look good enough to eat," a
sultry voice whispered in her ear.
Pandora whipped around lightning fast,
flashing her fangs. "I bite."
The man smiled, lips practically dripping
with sin. "Me too."
Normally, this was when she'd punch and run.
Seduction wasn't really her thing. It just made her think of another boy and
another time she'd never get back. But tonight was different. Tonight she
wanted to be free. Tonight she was determined to move on, to move forward.
So she grinned back, taking the stranger in.
And really, a girl could do worse, much worse. He was tall, broad, with bright
golden hair that seemed almost aflame in the darkness of the club. His
vampire-blue eyes were just as bright as hers, flashing with unabashed hunger,
brazen want. His skin, though, was what really caught her eye. It was
sun-kissed and bronzed, not pallid, not washed out by his ebony shirt. Somehow
he looked almost warm to the touch.
Before she could stop herself, Pandora lifted
her fingers, stretching for the triangle of hard skin at the base of his
throat, exposed between two sets of open buttons.
He stepped swiftly to the side.
The darkness seemed to follow, wisps of ebony
clinging to his frame, undulating with his every movement.
"Not yet," he murmured, never once
taking his eyes off her.
The longer he held her gaze, the more
familiar it seemed to become, as though she'd seen those eyes before, as though
this wasn't the first time they had caressed her body.
"Have we met?" she asked.
His smile deepened, filling with secrets she
could tell he had no intention of spilling. "Not like this."
"Like what then?"
But he looked away without answering,
sweeping his stare down to her lips, to every inch of exposed skin, lifting
back to her throat, pausing there. She didn't move. There was a dangerous sort
of confidence about him, but against her will, she found it alluring,
intriguing in a forbidden way. She'd always been drawn to things she wasn't
supposed to have. Usually, she took them anyway.
She reached out again, trying to touch him.
He moved deftly away, almost made of air as
he circled behind her.
"Pandora," he whispered into her
ear, breath like a kiss against the soft skin of her neck, making her shiver.
And then the word he spoke registered.
Her name.
He knew her name.
"How…?" She spun around, trailing
off when she realized there was nothing there, no one there.
A ghostly finger brushed against her elbow,
tracing a burning path up her arm. "You're not the only one who knows how
to disappear."
Pandora spun again.
But he was gone.
Character Spotlights:
Pandora Scott
Name: Pandora Scott (Dory
to a select few!)
Occupation: Thief, female
Robin-Hood, general troublemaker…
Who Is She? Pandora is the main
character in my Midnight Ice series! She’s a vampire with the ability to
disappear who’s currently on the run from the supernatural police force she
once belonged to! Oh, and her ex-boyfriend is chasing her. As is a mysterious
(and annoyingly attractive) new stalker. Oh, and, well, the most powerful
vampire in New York City. But she’s fine. She’s got it all under control…sort
of.
Loves: Blood, money, taking
overly cocky vampires down a notch, fast getaways, not-so-fast getaways for
that matter, proving people wrong, and…animals. What? They’re adorable. Oh, and
also using her ability to disappear to totally freak people out. BOO!
Hates: Losing at anything,
the sound of her alarm clock, people who underestimate her, and, well, her
ex-boyfriend Jax (and the fact that she doesn’t really hate him at all, as much
as she tells herself otherwise).
Guilty Pleasures: Going to the zoo,
eavesdropping on other people’s conversations, and punching Jax when he really,
really deserves it (which is almost always).
Jackson Rodriguez
Name: Jackson Rodriguez,
but just Jax to most!
Occupation: Tracker for the
supernatural police force he was born into, and aspiring musician on the sly.
Who Is He? Jax is Pandora’s
ex-boyfriend and he personifies everything she ran away from—a life of
boundaries and duties, without room for personal choices. He’s hunting her down
to bring her back home, even though all the love he still holds in his heart is
shouting at him to let her be free.
Loves: Proving Pandora
wrong, his old beaten up guitar (a gift from his father), taking bad guys off
the streets, and the old treehouse tucked in the woods behind his house that
makes him think of his first (and only) love.
Hates: The fact that Pandora
is usually right, and that in his world, duty means everything, even more than
the secret dreams he holds within his heart.
Guilty Pleasures: Pushing Pandora to
her limit and jamming out to the guitar solo from “Hotel California”
Sam
Name: You can call him Sam…just
Sam…
Occupation: Wouldn’t you like to
know?
Who Is He? Sam is a mysterious
vamp who is currently stalking Pandora—oh, and he’s the only other person in
the world she’s met with the ability to disappear. Can he be trusted? Probably
not. Is he annoyingly alluring? Hell yes.
Loves: When he looks at
Pandora and sees a little spark in the back of her eyes whispering that some
part of her remembers who he was…who they were.
Hates: Jax and the
unrelenting passage of time.
Guilty Pleasures: Popping in
unexpected, because being invisible has its perks!
