Blurb:

Follow the continuing adventures of Ember and Sebastian from the USA Today Bestselling Vampire Girl Universe as they navigate the very human torture of being home for the holidays.

Holidays are rough. The expectations are high, the disappointments inevitable, and family is… well, tricky, even at the best of times.

This December, I'm going home for Christmas. It's the one time a year I actually get to see my family, and usually it's fine. This time? Well, let's just say navigating the normal crazy will be extra special with a vampire husband that none of my family got to see me marry, a fresh blood craving of my very own, and a more than slight aversion to the sun. Add to that an ex-boyfriend of mine is in town and causing trouble, and my best friend's husband has a big secret, and you have a cocktail for trouble not even my husband's very expensive cognac can ease the strain of.

Tis the season. Hopefully, we'll make it to the New Year alive. Well… as alive as we vampires get.

My Review:

It is Christmas in the Vampire Girl world and Ember wants to go home and spend some time with her family. So Ember and Sebastian pack their bags so to speak and head that way. When they arrive they sense that something is not quite right with Ember’s best friend’s husband he is keeping a secret from his wife.

Meanwhile around town people are turning up dead with their life drained from them. What is going on? Who is draining these people? Is it a vampire? Is this a newbie? Or someone with evil intent? Well whatever the reason Ember and Sebastian is on the case and are very determined to find out what is going on and why or who?

Christmas Cognac is a very engrossing read that will pull you in and have you hooked from the first page. Once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down. Christmas Cognac is the first book in the Vampire Librarian that I have read but I don’t feel as if I missed anything by not reading the first book.

I would recommend Christmas Cognac to all fans of fantasy, vampires and the paranormal.
