Earth, 2082. Operative Calvin Rae infiltrates an enemy space
station to steal a revolutionary prototype on behalf of President White, Father
of the Renaissance. But the Space Station Erasmus is infected with the alien
parasite which has spread across Europe and now threatens the American Union’s
twelve Sanctuary Cities.
Back home in Sanctuary City Chicago, his wife awaits his
safe return behind the city’s huge perimeter walls. She is one of millions of
Citizens kept safe by the Regime, safe from the alien threat and from the
millions of Illegals and terrorists hunted in the American Badlands or destined
to become Serviles. Obedient. Useful. Disposable.
With his cybernetic enhancements to guide and protect him,
Calvin Rae will strike down the enemies of liberty.
Freedom Through Struggle!
Hail President White!
Hail the Renaissance!
But not everything is as it seems. When Rae encounters a
familiar face on the Space Station Erasmus, a whole new world is revealed to
him. In this dark playground of illusion, he uncovers a greater threat than he
could have imagined.
Can he thwart the terrifying plan in store for humanity? And
can he and his beloved Cora escape as Free Citizens?
My Review:
Rae is sent to a space station to steal a prototype for the
president easy peasy right? Well maybe not as the space station is infected
with an alien parasite. This alien parasite has spread across Europe and is on
its way to the American Union.
On the space station Rae runs into an old friend from his
past and this old friend opens Rae’s mind to whole new world by informing him
that things are not as they seem. Will Rae believe the lies he has been told or
will he believe what his old friend reveals to him?
Rae lives in a controlled state/world where everyone is
watched day and night and everything they say and do is always being recorded.
Rae lives behind a wall that he is not allowed to go beyond. He is lead to
believe that he is being kept behind this wall for his safety.
Once his new friend reveals to him her secrets Rae has a
choice to make. He has to decide if he is going to continue believing the lies
and being controlled or if he is going to take his wife Cora and leave so that
they can become free citizens outside the wall.
The Free Citizen is filled with action from beginning to end
that will keep those pages turning after each of its secrets are revealed. The
Free Citizen is filled with twist after twist that will hold your interest long
after you have read the last page. It will leave you wanting more of this world
and in my opinion that is what makes a book great.
When I was reading The Free Citizen I could see it playing
out in my head like a movie and speaking of movie I would love to see it on the
big screen. I could just see the space ships flying around in deep dark space.
I could picture the space station and the infected as Rae stood in battle with
them fighting for his life. That is one of the things that made This book so
amazing for me along with the world building and the characters.
I would recommend The Free Citizen to anyone who likes
reading space stories and going to other planets. If you are into dystopian and
science fiction novels then you are going to love The Free Citizen so one click
yourself a copy today and begin the adventure that is out of this world.
