My Review:
Kalib and Tenly’s world is divided into two separate groups. One is the Scarlets, Scarlets are the rulers. The second group is the Cobalts, Cobalts are servants to the Scarlets.
After passing their test to move up in their world Kalib and Tenly are separated. Tenly learns later that Kalib has been imprisoned. She will do whatever it takes to get him out. Meanwhile, Tenly has been released from her position as governess to a high-ranking Scarlet. She misses her charge Ellie dearly.
A virus has broken out killing Scarlets but not Cobalts. Tenly and Dr. Pierce work together hoping to find a cure before it is too late. Tenly’s boss Dr. Pierce is different than his wife Mrs. Pierce. He is kinder and a better person all around. He treats Tenly more like a human being than his wife.
In order to save Kalib, her family, and the Cobalts Tenly will have to do some things that she doesn’t want to do if she is going to save the ones she loves and cares about.
Their world is divided but can they bring it together long enough to save it? Can they bring their world together as one? Is that even possible?
I felt so bad for Tenly on several occasions when she was so sad and trying to hide it from everyone. Showing her feelings to the Scarlets could cost her so much. Tenly and Kalib have such great big hearts. They only think about others never leaving room for their own selves.
I would recommend Fractured to all dystopian and science fiction fans. I would also like to recommend Shattered book one and Collapsed book two in The Illusion of Truth series as well. So, grab a copy of Shattered, Collapsed, and Fractured today!
