After my maker died, I thought things could get easier. I could focus on finding my murderer.
I was wrong.
In less than a week’s time, four powerful mob bosses are snuffed out like candles, their bodies found on the shady side of Prohibition Chicago streets, apart like they had met with the business end of a meat grinder. This was no human killer, I know, because I’m one of them now. My problems can wait, I have to find the one responsible and stop them before anymore stiffs drop.
And I thought being murdered and coming back as a vampire was insane.
Turns out I’m not the only thing lurking in the night.
My Review:
BloodMoon opens with action which takes us all the way to the end with lots of suspense, mystery, and murder in between its pages. I love the crime scenes as they are described so well that I could see them playing out in my head as if I was watching a movie. I could see all the bodies laid out around the room surrounded by blood.
I could see Alastair Maddox as he walked into the room looking around. I could only imagine how he felt when he first laid eyes upon what lay in the room as he knelt by one of the victims. I can only imagine how he felt looking around this room considering that he is now a vampire. Can Alastair hold it together long enough to investigate the crime scene?
Alastair is on the lookout for whoever it is that killed all these mob bosses. He is still looking for the person who tried to put an end to him as well. He is also having to deal with some things in his personal life too. Alastair is struggling with nightmares.
I love this world that has been created for BloodMoon. I love the era that it is set in and how everyone talked back then. I love the history/time period. The world-building is just awesome. I can’t seem to get enough of Alastair and his world.
Who is killing all these mob bosses? What is their motive? Is the killer human or not? Mystery and murder lies between the pages of BloodMoon with lots of suspense and secrets to keep the pages turning. I can’t wait to read more from this era as well as more about the vampires.
I would highly recommend BloodMoon to all fans of vampires, murder, mystery, and suspense! One-click your copy of BloodMoon today! Oh and be sure to check out the first book BloodLaw in the Vampire Chicago world too.
