Guardian The Sacrifice, Book 3, Magical Beasts
She peers into my eyes. “What are you willing to do to save your friends? To save the love of your life?”
I slump. Desperation and hope fill my voice. “Anything. Everything.”
Her hands drop away from my face. “Kneel before me.”
I slump down on one knee and lower my head. The woman is power mad, like the crazy kraken Gorgon, and the Evil One. I bite my lip.
“I’m not like either of them,” she says tersely. “This is your test, not mine. Look at me when I speak to you.”
Unable to keep the anger out of my eyes, I lift my head and stare up at her. She reminds me of Tris, able to see what I’m thinking just by looking at me. “Why are you doing this? You’re the Black Dragon. A caretaker. Why are you hurting us?”
She ignores my questions. “You and your friends will bring the Beister to me. Agree to this or you’ll never see your friends again.”
When I think of Mom I have to fight back tears—I don’t want to give the Black Dragon any satisfaction. But I do wish I knew more of Mom’s life as an Original. “How do we find the Beister?”
“Answers are coming. For now, get out of my sight.” She grabs my arm and in one fast, twisting motion she tosses me out over the river.
Before I hit the water, I see her turn and walk off the bridge. I sink sluggishly as if in slow motion. My arms and legs won’t respond when I try to swim to the surface. I tell my limbs to move, but they won’t. Starved for air, I gulp water instead, my lungs choking on it. Sunlight sparkles on the surface above me, and then I’m descending into oblivion.
My Review:
Guardian The Sacrifice (Magical Beasts #3)
Sam and Jake are given a task to break a very powerful murderer from a magical prison and bring him to the Black Dragon so she can save him. Sam and Jake have a hard time getting to the prison.
They have many challenges and obstacles standing in their way that took the excitement and action to a whole new level. Once all the magical creatures came out to try and stop Sam and Jake from reaching their detestation I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what lay in wake for them around the next corner.
Once you open Guardian: The Sacrifice you will be drawn into its magical world living each and every scene right in your head as if you are a part of this world and fighting alongside Sam and Jake as they make their way through this magical land of magical creatures.
All these magical creatures were very enthralling and kept me glued to the pages anxiously waiting for the next beast to come out and play. Oh, what a magical world Guardian: The Sacrifice just happens to be.
Does Sam and Jake have what it takes to get this powerful beast out of the prison? Are they willing to make the sacrifice they may be asked to make? Will they be able to keep their word? Are they strong enough to do what is asked of them?
Pick your copy of Guardian: The Sacrifice today to find out if they are strong enough to do what they set out to do in the end.
My Review:
Guardian: The Stand (Magical Beasts #4)
Sam and Jake have fought battle after battle all leading up to the final stand. The Evil One has finally made it to their shores and is attacking KiraKu. The Evil One is a very powerful beast and cannot be fought alone and win. They are in need of multiply armies if they are going to defeat the Evil One.
Sam and Jake are tasked with a mission to find the Summoner to help them gather more armies and to help fight against the Evil One. Sam and Jake don’t want to go. They want to stay and help fight the Evil One but they must go if they want to save KiraKu.
Their journey is not an easy one as they have to fight their way to the Summoner. They have to go through some dark and dangerous lands of KiraKu fighting monster after monster. They have to make deals they wish they didn’t have to make. Sam and Jake have no idea who they can trust so, therefore, have to tread lightly.
Can Sam and Jake find the Summoner? Will they lose the battles they must face to get to the Summoner? Will they make it back to the final stand before it is too late? Can they talk the Summoner into helping them fight the Evil One?
Guardian: The Stand is just one battle/fight after another that kept the action pouring out page after page that had me racing to the end to see how it would all turn out. The world-building and the magical beast alone were enough to keep those pages flipping as they were both so awesome. Oh, and the characters were just as amazing.
I could see each and every battle scene as they were fighting against the magical beast playing out in my head as if I was a part of the whole thing. It was like watching Jurassic Park or an episode of Zoo (Netflix). I am so sad to have witnessed the last stand. I am going to miss Sam, Jake, and the rest of the crew.
I highly recommend Guardian: The Stand to all fantasy readers. I would also recommend that you read the first three novels too. One-click your copy of the Magical Beast series today to begin this epic adventure into the land of the magical beast!

Thanks for hosting!
I am very happy to be here, and to have such a great host, reviews, and blog! I'll stop in later to respond to any comments or questions.
Are the books standalone reads, or do you need to read them in order?
Hi Kim, if you were going to read one book, I'd read the first. They are standalone in that each book has a set journey, beginning, middle, end, but there are things carried from each book to the next, as in any series...unsure that helps you! The 4th book is my favorite :) but it won't make sense if you start with that...
