Otherworlder Paranormal Mystery Book One
She's the Outcast no one wants - until they get into trouble.
Raine’s a Fae with no magic. Banished to live among “Mundanes” in the Human world she works as a Private Investigator for Otherworlders. But when her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Kringle, heir to the Santa Claus legacy, goes missing, it’s her job to find him. Problem is, she’d rather he just stayed missing.
Hurt by everyone she’s ever cared about Raine isn’t about to open up her heart to her “bad boy” best friend Jordan who’s been in love with her for years. Especially since his Pride’s made it abundantly clear that there’s no way they’ll let him mate anyone but another weretiger.
As Raine investigates the disappearance of Gabriel, she discovers that he hasn’t just run off with a set of twin Christmas Elves for the weekend. Something more sinister is in the works; and if she can’t save him Christmas will be ruined forever.
But will rescuing Gabriel bring Raine and Jordan closer, or will old feelings for Gabriel tear them apart?
Missing for Christmas is a fun, lighthearted Paranormal Mystery for those who love K.F. Breene, Annabel Chase, and Amanda M. Lee.
My Review:
You know when I read the summary for Kidnapped at Christmas I knew I had to read it. I loved the concept of Santa and Mrs. Kringle having a son. Oh, I couldn’t wait to dive right in.
Kidnapped at Christmas is about a Fae with no magic. Raine lives in the human world as a Mundane. She was banished from her world because she has no magic. In the human world, Raine works as a Private Investigator.
Raine is hired by Mrs. Kringle to find her missing son Gabriel who just happens to be Raine’s ex-boyfriend. At first, Raine just assumes that Gabriel has been with some girl. But the deeper into her investigation she realizes that her assumption is entirely off course.
Raine has the help of her best friend Jordan and pet dragon Sam to help her find Gabriel. It is hard for Raine working with Jordan with her being so attracted to him. Jordan is one hot dude. Raine is not aware of it but Jordan has been in love with her for a very long time. Jordan is a weretiger and his Pride/pack will not allow a Fae and a weretiger to be together.
Kidnapped at Christmas may be a short story but it sure does pack a big punch and it reads like a full-length novel. It is a fun, sweet, and fast-paced read. The characters were all written amazingly well. I love the world that was created for Kidnapped at Christmas and can’t wait to dive into the next book Vigilante at Valentine the second book in the Otherworlder Paranormal Mystery Series to see where Raine’s journey takes her next.
If you like fun, holiday stories then I highly suggest that you grab a copy of Kidnapped at Christmas for a jolly good time!
