Does writing energize or exhaust you?
Writing energizes me. That is because I am mostly inspired to write and I have created systems to ensure that when I am inspired, I write down the thought to develop or and share it.
What is the first book that made you cry?
I can’t remember now if I have cried from reading a book but the books that has brought me close to crying are “Until There Was You by Rebecca Winters” and “Built for The Storm Bridget Oyefeso-Odusanmi”.
How did publishing your first book change your process of writing?
Publishing my first book made me better understand writing is or can be a business and when properly manage can serve as multiple streams of income.
What do you owe the real people upon whom you base your characters?
Where did your love of books/storytelling/reading/writing/etc. come from?
Growing up I used to be at home at I would see my parent’s bookshelve filled with books so once I was done with my house chores, I turned to read those books mostly out of curiosity or when I find the book title fascinating.
What do you like to read in your free time?
Can you share some stories about people you met while researching this book?
Here I would have to thank YouTube for creating a platform for people to share their experiences. Authors like Arese Ugwu, Tomie Balogun, Jerry Jenkins, Amba E. Ajakaiye, Joi Wade, Gillian Perkins, Bethany Atazadeh, Crystal Dale helped my writing process. Others like Mandi Lynn, Tarah-Lynn, Krystal G, Juliet Picard videos helped me with my book Launch event. All of their stories as Authors inspired me in different ways to go all the way to make Profitable Usherpreneur: How To Start And Grow A Successful business a Success #Punintended.
Why did you choose to write in your particular field or genre? If you write more than one, how do you balance them?
I chose to write about the business of ushering because when I started my business “Gloriouswills Ushering Services GWUS” in 2016 there was no resource on the topic of ushering service as a business, knowing that there maybe others like me looking for an educational and inspirational resource on the business of ushering I decided to write the book Profitable Usherpreneur. I currently write one book at a time.
How do you begin writing a new book? What challenges come with it?
I begin to write a new book, first by a decision to write. How I tackle the challenges that comes with writing a new book is that after I have decided on the type of book I want to write, I look for a coach/program that teaches how to write that type of book to help me stay accountable and motivated to complete my book writing.
Share a place that inspires you to write.
I write on the go! Interestingly my mail box, colour note, Google Docs and life events inspire me to write. Writing for me is not only about a place or space it is about BEING!
