Interview with Suzy Bootz
Does writing energize or exhaust you?
Writing ignites my soul, and it’s the only thing that makes me feel completely connected to God. Because of this, I absolutely love writing and learning from every God whisper I receive.
What is the first book that made you cry?
Honestly, the very first book I wrote had such an impact on me that there were many moments while I was writing the book and crying as I received the messages. The love that God poured into me while I was writing allowed me the privilege to feel the depth for Gods love and compassion within the messages.
How did publishing your first book change your process of writing?
My message became more accessible but the process of writing remained the same.
Where did your love of books/storytelling/reading/writing/etc. come from?
I have always loved writing, but it wasn’t until my third grade teacher told me that I was a good writer, when I gained confidence.
What do you like to read in your free time?
If I have free time to read, then I have free time to write another book.
Why did you choose to write in your particular field or genre?
If you write more than one, how do you balance them? As a spiritual person, hearing my God whispers was always easy for me. I have always believed in the power of prayer. As a very young child I can remember having talks with God and hearing His voice in the echoes of my soul. This was the way I was able to process all of the information that was coming to me, because I literally dropped to my knees one afternoon. I was so scared and so upset, I said God you have to show me my truth and suddenly I felt the strongest urge to write. It’s these words that I had been familiar with, the way they filled my soul that began to coming through to me. I knew that this was my prayer being answered by God, it was my conversation with God.
How do you begin writing a new book? What challenges come with it?
I have written 7 spiritual books all with the same method. I ask God to write through my hands and then I connect and listen. I don’t question the message, but instead write it down as quickly as my fingers can type. Because of this, I can connect with God and feel the depth of the love God has through my messages. My biggest challenge has always been to edit down the number of words in my book, which can be a little tedious.
