Book
One in the DS Regan Carter series.
DS Regan Carter never
imagined she would end up in the Major Crime Unit, surrounded by the
one thing she despises most: death. But when a young mother is
brutally killed and her baby kidnapped, Regan is thrown into a
terrifying battle with a local organized crime group. As she closes
in on the gang-members, she must also face the horror of her own
past. Regan struggles to keep her head above water.
But this is just the beginning. As the OCG begins to crumble and secrets are revealed, Regan finds herself facing a threat that hits dangerously close to home. With her job, her reputation, and her life on the line, she must use all her skills and ferocity to take down the criminals before they take her down first.
For fans of gripping police procedurals, and crime thrillers with strong female leads, A Random Kill is a must-read. Don't miss out on this heart-pounding debut in the DS Regan Carter series.

My
Review:
A woman is crossing the street pushing her baby when shots rang out. Someone is shooting at her. She rushes across the street with her baby and as she is almost to the other side she is shot causing the baby to topple over into the street. The baby is taken.
DS Regan Carter is assigned to the case. Regan was transferred to the Major Crime Unit. Regan did not ask to be reassigned as she hates dead bodies. Regan thinks she is being punished. She doesn’t think she belongs in the Major Crime Unit. She loved her old job.
We get A Random Kill’s story from more than one view. We get to follow more than one character’s story. I enjoyed reading each character’s story. By reading more than one character’s point I get to know more about them and what happened in their part of the story rather than being told what happened from another character.
I can’t wait to read more in DS Regan Carter’s world. I can’t wait to see what crimes await us in the next book.
I highly recommend A Random Kill to anyone who likes a good crime thriller. Grab a copy of A Random Kill today!
