*****WARNING*****

If you are easily offended, then this is NOT the book for you. Please put it down and back away slowly. However, if you have a warped sense of humor, please read on.

In the town of Lost Hope, Florida reside two heroes unlike any others. These champions of justice go by the names of Snafu Fubar and General Nuisance. Nightly they patrol their fine city to protect it from evil's grasp. And by 'patrol' we mean they sit on a porch, appropriately nicknamed 'The Fucking Nuisance Cave', drinking beers, smoking cigars, and talking about sex.

Interview with Bob Dixon

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in Snafu Fubar: Nothing Heroic?

Snafu Fubar and his crime fighting partner General Nuisance defend their fair city of Lost Hope, Florida from the comforts of their back porch where going on patrol consist of drinking beer and smoking cigars.

Can you tell us a little bit about your next books or what you have planned for the future?

My next book is actually book 2 in the Snafu Fubar series. Right after that one comes out, I have a book coming out that deals with social injustices.

How long would you say it takes you to write a book?

It really depends on the book, Snafu for example is a quick write for me, maybe 4-6 months. However I have an historical fiction I have been playing with for several years.

What is your favorite childhood book?

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It really opened up a new world to me.

If you could spend the day with one of the characters from Snafu Fubar: Nothing Heroic who would it be? Please tell us why you chose this particular character, where you would go and what you would do.

Well most likely we would just sit around smoke cigars, drink beer and laugh a lot. Oddly enough I kind of get to do this on a weekly basis as I have a cigar group I am part of, we call it the Weekly Tradition and we basically just sit around and shoot the breeze each week.

What was the hardest scene from Snafu Fubar: Nothing Heroic to write?

I think when you are writing humor, you have to make sure you really nail the scenes you want people to laugh at after all that is the purpose of the book, so making sure the jokes come off as funny in the written word as they would if you said them is a challenge.

What made you want to become a writer?

I grew up reading a lot of comic books and thought man this would be a cool job. Of course everyone told me ‘you’re just wasting your time’ Well here I am years later with many comic books and novels published and no one tells me im wasting my time anymore.
