What made you want to become a writer?
I began writing in May 2020 when COVID-19 pandemic hit. I was working lesser hours and I was inspired to write. I had written drafts over the years, but I never had completed them.
What inspired you to write A Beauty So Cruel?
It’s based on beauty and the beast, and it’s a retelling of it. I’ve always loved the fairytale plus its mafia romance genre!
Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in The Name of Red?
Vlad Vitalli is one of the Don’s of the ruling families of New York. Dahlia Hadid is a POC who witnesses a murder. They’re both strong, compelling, and alphas.
You know I think we all have a favorite author. Who is your favorite author and why?
I’ve always been a fan of Colleen Hoover and Jane Austen. Everyone loves a classic author, and I considered Colleen Hoover, a huge inspiration to the New Adult genre.
Can you tell us a little bit about your next books or what you have planned?
For the Beauty & The Beast series, I have a sequel and two standalones planned.
What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
The conversations the two MC’s had with each other and how they bonded.
Author Bio:
Beena Khan writes literary fiction and edgy, contemporary romance. She 27 years old and lives in New York. She’s from Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, an immigrant who moved to New York when she was five years old. She currently holds a Masters Degree in Developmental Psychology.
