My Review:
A Real Wild One is the first book in the new series Wild in Love by author Cherie Marks and it is also a part of the Magic and Mayhem Universe. A Real Wild One grabbed me with the summary well, truthfully it was the author.
But I must say once I started reading A Real Wild One I was pulled into its depths from the first page and I don’t think I came up for air until the last page was read as Hollyn Oates and Kai Iona took me on a wild ride with lots of danger into between as there was not a dull moment to be had.
Hollyn was being held captive by her father well until she escaped that is. Her father kept her locked up as he wanted her tears for his own ill gain. When Hollyn escaped she went on a treasure hunt. She needed a certain amulet to help stop her father for good.
In her search for the amulet is where she met Kai, a pilot. Hollyn hired Kai to fly her to an island in the Atlantic where she could hopefully find this amulet and put a stop to her father once and for all.
Kai is told that Hollyn can’t speak. Why he does not know. But Hollyn’s secret is that she is a powerful half-siren, half-witch, and can mesmerize every man within a twenty-foot radius of her if they hear her voice.
Kai agrees to fly Hollyn where she wants to go even though he does not know what her true intentions are. Kai believes that the amulet she is looking for may be a clue to who he is. Kai was abandoned as a baby and has no clue where he came from or who he is.
Yeah, Kai and Hollyn kept me on my toes with all their treasure hunting and the perils they found themselves in along the way. I felt as if I was flying on a pirate ship as they fought with a group of men that Hollyn’s father had sent to capture her. I was mesmerized by it all as I took in the scenes that took place in my head which by the way was very easy as the descriptions were so vividly written.
I can’t wait to see this series, Wild in Love continue with the next story to see what lies ahead in this wild and crazy world.
