Standing
on the porch, of the ramshackle house, my gaze stays locked on Mathesis’s
shadowy silhouette.
The
clear skies overhead allow the radiance of the moon to splash over the vapid
lands. It isn’t much, but enough for me to work with.
“Then
come claim your prize, my sweet Amanda.”
His
red eyes linger in the darkness. His voice taunts me, and whispers softly in my
ears, trying to distract my thoughts, so I succumb to his devilish desires.
His
minions growl and taunt me as well. Pairs of distant red eyes shift within the
veil of night on my left and right.
I
twirl the Kukri machete in my hand. If I have to plow through his legion of
dead to have my blade taste Mathesis’s flesh once more, then I shall do it
without pause.
A young woman Amanda has vampire blood running through her
veins. She was a personal blood bag for the leader of a vampire clan, Mathesis
for many years until the day she escaped. He took her as a child and fed off of
her for many years never allowing any other vampire to feed from her.
After her escape she met a stranger, Lucian whom she teamed
up with to hunt and kill vampires. They were on their way back to the city to a
place that Amanda calls home for the moment when they learn of a vampire clan
close by and that the vampires is planning on entering the city to wipe out
humans or take control of them and the world.
Tainted Hunter is an introduction into a brand new world of
vampires. Tainted Hunter follows Amanda and Lucian as they hunt for the vampires
den while at the same time come up with a way to infiltrate their den upon
arrival and try to figure out a way to stop the vampires as well before it is
too late.
Amanda and Lucian race against the clock and the vampires to
the city to warn the humans of the vampire’s intentions and hopefully save a
lot of lives at the same time. Can they reach the city before the vampires? Can
they save the human race from becoming extinct?
Tainted Hunter is filled with lots of action from the first
page as Amanda and Lucian fight vampires and raiders alike. Tainted Hunter is a
blood bath of goriness with enough twist and turns and suspense to keep the
pages turning. Once I had Tainted Hunter in my hand I couldn’t put it down
until I had turned the last page and even then I was crying out for more. I can’t
wait to dive into the next book Crimson Thirst in The Huntress Bane Series.
I recommend Tainted Hunter to all vampire fans with lots of
action and lots of vampire killing.

Crimson Thirst is a fast paced read that will keep you on
the edge of your seat with action from the first page. I couldn’t turn the
pages fast enough with all the fighting and action leaping off the pages and
thrusting me into its lair. I felt as if I was right there with Amanda as she
fought the vamps rooting for her the whole way.
I believe this is one of the greatest vampire books I have
ever read as it combines a few of my favorite things like vampires, bloody goriness’,
post-apocalyptic, fighting and a whole lot of action. I so can’t wait to read
more of this awesome world of vampires and the apocalyptic.
I definitely recommend Crimson Thirst to all fans of
vampires and the post-apocalyptic worlds.
