Review: Steel Trust (Jack Steel Thriller) Prequel by Geoffrey Saign @geoffreysaign
Steel Trust
Jack Steel Thriller Prequel
by Geoffrey Saign
Published: June 2019
Genre: Thriller,
Adventure, Mystery, Action
Blurb:
Terrorists plan to
kill millions of innocents in the U.S. Jack Steel is the last man who can stop
them.
Called back from the hellish landscape of Afghanistan to
join the covert Blackhood Ops group, deadly special ops veteran Jack Steel is
immediately thrust into action for Operation Hellfire.
Steel and his team navigate wilderness to attack
sophisticated terrorists that are planning a deadly threat. Expecting
poorly-prepared jihadis, the Op quickly falls apart.
Worse, Steel faces an overwhelming desire to save an
innocent child. He knows what his orders are, he’s just not sure he can follow
them. Millions of lives hang in the balance, along with Steel’s conscience.
But it doesn’t look like he’ll make it through the day…
A gripping suspenseful thriller with twists and turns and
pulse-pounding action and surprises.
If you enjoy Lee Child/Jack Reacher, Tom Clancy/Jack Ryan,
Vince Flynn/Mitch Rapp, Brad Thor, or Jason Bourne, it’s likely you'll enjoy
Jack Steel too.
My Review:
A family is on vacation when they are attacked by terrorist.
Jack Steel is sent in to rescue the family with orders to kill. Jack ends up
getting himself caught by the terrorist. Among the hostages is 10 year-old
Lydia. Jack is determined to make it out alive and take the little girl with
him. Jack has a little girl of his own waiting for him at home and he has every
intentions of seeing her again. He does not plan on leaving his little girl
without a father like Lydia.
Jack has to be very conning if he is going to save himself
and Lydia. Jack and Lydia manage to get away from the terrorist. They end up
running down a hill to escape the terrorist and as they are running away they
are getting shot at. It is a little difficult for Jack as he is running with
Lydia zip-tied to his back. But Lydia is a brave little girl and stays quiet
the whole time. Will Jack and Lydia get out alive?
Steel Trust gives us a sneak peek into Jack Steel’s world.
It introduces us to the man of the hour about who he is and what kind of person
he is. It gives us a look into the heart of the man of the hour. Just for a
little while we get to see that he is soft on the inside but tough on the
onside.
Steel Trust starts out with action and never lets up. Once
you start reading it is like a roller coaster ride going downhill all the way with
Jack and Lydia to the end. The descriptions are all so vividly written it makes
you feel as if you are standing right there with Jack and Lydia as they are
running through the forest/jungle.
Steel Trust is a short fast paced read with non-stop action
and more twists than you can shake a stick at. Oh and let me tell you there was
this big twist at the end that I never saw coming. Oh man it is a whopper and
surprisingly so. I sure hope that we will find out more about this twist in the
first book of the Jack Steel series, Steel Force. I can’t wait to dive into
Steel Force.
I highly recommend Steel Trust to all mystery, action,
thriller, and adventure fans.
