My Review:
Fourteen-year-old Hannah Priestly is a California girl whose
mother is an actress and sends her to an English boarding school. Hannah lives
life like any average girl of her age. Her best friends are all guys one of
which Hannah has a crush on.
Yeah Hannah and Rory like each other very much both of them
are very shy in making that first step as they are afraid that the other one
doesn’t feel the same and don’t want to make a fool of themselves. But over
time with season changes and a few school breaks in between they manage to
overcome their shyness and their relationship starts to blossom, slowly but
surely.
Hannah has visions/dreams of a future that is dark and bleak
for her and Rory. Hannah sees a killer and his work in progress with his victim’s
one of which is Rory. Hannah and her friends try to find the killer hoping to change
their future and the lives of others in the process. Can they find the killer
and stop him before it is too late?
The Call of Death has paranormal elements with Hannah’s
visions and leads us down a long dark road of death to the killer. It is a dark
and gritty mystery with enough suspense to keep the pages turning with twists
after twists that leads to an unsuspecting end an end that I never saw coming.
The Call of Death has a thrilling plot with an amazing group
of characters. The author has written an amazingly believable coming of age story
with a little romance for my two favorite characters, Rory and Hannah. I would
love to see more of these two and Hannah’s visions in future books from their
world.
If you are looking for a good gritty mystery novel with a little
romance then this is the book for you. One click yourself a copy of The Call of
Death to begin this wonderful adventure with Hannah and Rory.
