Book Tour + Review + #Giveaway: Sector C by Nina Soden @Nina_Soden @SDSXXTours
The Chosen
Sector C Volume 1
by Nina Soden
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Set in a futuristic dystopian where society is governed by a council of vampires and lycanthropes, selection students are sheltered and raised in a deceptively utopian world. Strict rules are imposed to control population growth, education, and even personal interactions with other members of the Sector, all in the name of safety. When ‘A’ comes of age, she like all youth throughout Sector C and her selection classmates aren’t sent out into the world to find jobs, make money and lead happy carefree lives. They are forced to endure the rigorous physical and mental testing of Selection Week before choosing their destiny or being forced into a fate far worse. Those that make it out alive are announced as sector residence, given a position within the society, and allotted all the privileges of their chosen “culture.” However, when your only choices are vampirism, lycanthropy, breeder, blood donor, or banishment to the Wastelands, what choice do you really have? Suspenseful, intense, passionate, and awash in paranormal delights, Sector C captures the enchantment and mysteries of the supernatural world and the power of friendship.
The Chosen is the first book in Sector C a new series by
Nina Soden. The Chosen is set in the near future where everyone is divided by
and lives in different sectors.
Children are trained all their lives for the big day, selection
day where the students train and compete during the week leading up to this day
to see who is the best in their class. The students with the highest scores
will be able to choose if they would like to be a vampire, a werewolf, a donor
or a breeder or banished to the Wastelands.
I think The Chosen is one of the best books I have read in a
long time. It is well written and the story just flows along real nicely. I
could see everything I was reading in my head as if I was watching a movie. It
reminded me of so much of The Hunger Games and Divergent.
The world building was out of this world grand. Once I picked
up The Chosen I couldn’t lay it down until I had turned the last page. I can’t
give The Chosen enough praise or find the right words to tell you how much I
really enjoyed this one. I can’t wait to dive into the next book The Hunted to
see how A53 and the rest of the crew fair in their new lives.
The Chosen is filled with so much suspense, action, and
excitement and it was so intense that it caught my attention from the very beginning
and I was so enthralled that I lost all sense of time.
I highly recommend The Chosen Sector C book one to all fans
of the futuristic dystopian worlds.
The Hunted
Sector C Volume 2
In the future, most of the world is governed by a council of vampires and lycanthropes. Sector residents are offered the freedom to live as they desire provided they stay and abide by the laws handed down. After being jolted awake by the blaring screech of the sector alarm, Zelina is dragged from her bed, gagged, and tied to a chair. Confronted with the brutal murder of one of her former classmates, she realizes that all eyes are on her as the primary suspect. Whether she was involved or not doesn’t matter. In the eyes of most sector residents, and most Council Members, Zelina is already a pariah—feared for the powers she will certainly come to possess. For she is the first human known to have both vampire and lycanthrope blood flowing through her veins. Zelina will find herself on a gripping adventure that will take her beyond the borders she’s known all her life in an attempt to save those she loves—and herself from becoming The Hunted.

The Hunted had me from the beginning with murder. The Hunted
starts out with action and excitement and never lets up. Someone has been
killed in the Vampire and lycanthrope world.
In the world of The Hunted Vampires and Lycanthropes all
live together but in different sectors or areas of course. They have tried for
years to join the two communities by joining the two races together as one.
They have been trying for years to make a hybrid, a vampire/shifter without
much success until Zelina.
Zelina is brutally awakened during the middle of the night
to find that one of her classmates has been murdered. Zelina has been taken
from her bed to a different location and tied to a chair. Zelina is their prime
suspect with her having vampire and lycanthrope blood flowing through her
veins.
Everyone is afraid of Zelina as they have no idea what to
expect from her. Zelina is a mystery, an unknown to them. Zelina is also a
newbie and newborns are very unpredictable or maybe they are more predictable
than you would think food for thought as they say. Zelina doesn’t even know
what to expect from her own self. She certainly doesn’t know who to trust at
the moment.
Zelina has no idea who killed her friend but she has every
intention of finding out before it is her head they take. After she is let go
Zelina goes on the hunt to find out who killed her friend Wyatt. Her investigation
leads her to places she has not been before looking for the killer. What she
finds is very surprising and heat breaking for her but she will do whatever she
can to save the ones she loves and cares about.
The Hunted was an enthralling read that was just as good if
not better than the first book The Chosen. The characters have grown so much
since their selection week and starting their new lives. I just love this world
that has been created for Sector C. It is so brilliant. I can’t wait to see what Zelina and the rest
of the crew have in store for us in the next book The Bridge.
I would highly recommend The Hunted to all fans of
dystopian, vampires, lycanthropes, shifters. One click your copy of The Hunted

The Bridge
Sector C Volume 3
Change is happening all around Zelina and with it a prophesy is revealed. Is Zelina the key to unlocking a new way of existing on earth? What will she do when she discovers the true monsters of Sector C – the darkness that feeds off of the fear and the unknowing. Will she be able to suspend her own disbelief about what is possible and secure a new future? With the help of Merick, a motley crew of defectors, and a host of unexpected allies, Zelina bridges space and time in an attempt to bring forth a new future for all sentient beings. Join Zelina, Merick, and the others as they discover the power of the prophesy and their parts in setting their stagnant world free.
Sector C has been one of the best series I think I have ever
read. The twists and turns just keep on coming with no end in sight. The Bridge
is the third book in the Sector C Series and is just as amazing and wonderful
as the first two books in the series, The Chosen and The Hunted.
Each book just seems to get better and better with each turn
of the page. Once I picked up The Bridge I couldn’t put it down until I had
finished. I cannot give Sector C the praise it deserves as I don’t have the
words.
The characters are all just as amazing. With the world
building and the characters Nina made me feel as if I was right there with the
characters. I felt as if I had known them all my life as if we were all best
friends. I could picture them all in my head as if I was watching a movie.
The main character Zelina is a hybrid she is a Vampire/Werewolf/Werelion.
She is the first in a long line to have survived. In The Bridge Zelina jumps
from one place to the next in her visions there are times when she is not sure
what is real and what is not. She is on the lookout for her missing friends.
Zelina is trying to save the ones she loves and the world and she will do
whatever it takes to do just that.
Zelina is also trying to come to terms with whom and what
she is. She is trying to figure out which one of her selves is the ruler/alpha.
She is also learning that there are others who may be afraid of her because of
who she is and what she can do.
Sector C has been an amazing journey one in which I hate to
see come to an end. I would love to read more in this world and of these
characters. I would really love to see this one on the big screen so bad.
Sector C is one series that will stay with me for a long time to come. I don’t
think I will ever forget it. I would like to say that I just love how they
named each character in the beginning like Zelina’s name was C65A53 and I love
the covers for each of the books.
So after saying all this I definitely recommend The Bridge
to anyone who likes books in this genre. I would also like to give another
shout out to the first two books The Chosen and The Hunted. One click yourself
a copy of all three books today to begin an amazing story.
I have always been creative, be it art, theatre, film – anything but singing – you don’t want to hear that! I earned her bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Military Science from EMU where I spent most of my time either on stage, rappelling down buildings, or working one of three jobs. After college, I moved to Los Angeles, like so many other want-to-be actors, in pursuit of my dreams. I worked to pay the bills… but my love was acting and I was actually somewhat successful, mostly in commercials and independent films and I had a great time doing it.
In 2008, after some major life changes, I self-published her first book PRIVATE WORDS UNSPOKEN, a compilation of poetry. Since then, my dreams have gotten bigger and I would like to think my storytelling ability has gotten better. I have done everything from secretarial work to business development to being the Director of a private preschool. I have fired an M16, jumped out of a C130, and given birth – TWICE - but I always return to my art.
Though I’ll forever be a Michigan girl at heart, I now live in the South with my husband and two beautiful children. If I’m not working on my latest story, you can find me lounging with a good book, playing with my kids, or indulging in my unhealthy addiction to Starbucks coffee.
