Grave Humor
R.J. Blain
(A Magical Romantic Comedy)
Publication date: May 12th 2020
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Paranormal, Romance

Most days, Anwen regrets working at a funeral home despite the good pay. With the residents no longer inclined to stay in their coffins where they belong, she’s got her hands full making sure everyone follows the rules:

In the funeral home, there is no screaming, no murdering, no mutilation, no possessions, no kidnappings, no resurrections, and no cursing of any type. Be quiet and stay polite.

The day Old Man McGregor decides to take a walk and disturbs her peace, Anwen learns there’s a lot more to the basement in the funeral home than a vampire and a handsome gentleman on ice.

If she’s not careful, she’ll learn first-hand why ‘eternally yours’ is the most potent of threats.

Warning: this novel contains romance, humor, bodies, shenanigans, and mythological puppies. Proceed with caution.

My Review:

Anwen had a hard life growing up in her mother and father's home. She quilts school early as she had no money for college and went to work. She figured if she couldn't go to college why not? There were days when she came home from school and she was locked out of her house because her parents weren't home. There was many a night when Anwen had to spend sleepless nights outside where ever she could find a place to lay her head.

Anwen found a job working in a funeral home where the dead talk to her. There are many rules that the dead or ghost have to abide by. If the ghost breaks any of her boss's rules then Anwen will not be paid. So it is Anwen's job to keep the ghost quiet which can be a nightmare to do at times and with some ghost in particular.

Anwen is in for a bad day when one the ghost Old Man McGregor is not inclined to follow the rules. Anwen has a hard time trying to convince Old Man McGregor to keep quiet so she can get her pay. Old Man McGregor is like but it is so much fun to scream and break the rules.

Grave Humor is a hilariously humorous book whose title serves it well and has numerous meanings tied to it. Anwen is a wonderful quirky, funny and witty character who will have you rolling with laughter. I just loved the little sayings at the beginning of each chapter. Grave Humor will have you in tears but more than likely they will be tears of joy and not sadness.

Grave Humor has little bit of all sorts of characters for instance it starts out with ghost and then you are introduced to a vampire. It has pixies, angels, demons, succubus plus a few more. Oh and there is also a very handsome man in the freeze in the basement. Anwen had her eye on this handsome dude from the moment she saw him. The way Anwen described him I bet her tongue reached up and slapped her brains out.

Grave Humor grabbed my attention from the first page and never let go until the last page was turned. I have a feeling that Grave Humor is going to be with me for a long time to come. Once I picked up Grave Humor I could not put it down. I would so love to see Grave Humor on the big screen.

I highly recommend Grave Humor to anyone looking for a fun and humorous book to brighten up the day. One click your copy today to begin a humorous adventure.

Author Bio:
