Goodreads * Amazon

A virus has hit the world and is spreading quickly leaving many dead in its wake. The virus affects children and young adults more quickly than older adults. The virus is very similar to the Corona-virus that we are dealing with today. The world is on lock-down with the hopes of keeping the virus as contained as possible. The hospital beds are filling up quickly with sick patients.

A young woman Candice is on lock-down in her home where she has been getting to know her next door neighbor Bryan through the window when there is a knock on her front door. Candice looks out the window at Bryan like who could be knocking on the door at a time like this. Bryan sits watching as Candice goes to the door and ask who it is. The door is burst open and Candice is taken away. Bryan calls the police to report his neighbor being kidnapped.

Detective Harry Hunter is assigned to Candice’s case as he is an essential worker and has not been sick. Harry is worried about his daughter Josie getting the virus as she is a high risk. Josie had a heart transplant when she was fifteen years old. Josie is on lock-down as school has been closed. Harry’s dad comes over to stay with Josie and becomes sick with the virus. Harry is worried about Josie becoming sick but can’t send his dad away so he quarantines him in the back room. Josie is given orders to stay in her room.

Harry’s sister Reese wakes up in the hospital after being in a medically induced coma for four weeks. She is told that she had a virus and that she was patient zero. Reese feels so bad and feels as if it is her fault that so many people have lost their lives because of her. Later at home Someone comes into her home and tries to kill her. Reese escapes and goes to Harry’s asking him for help. Reese is attacked at Harry’s but he fights them off and they get away.

Who is trying to kill Reese and why? Who kidnapped Candice and why? Where did the virus come from? Is it man made? Did it come from nature? The answers to these questions and more can be found in Never Walk Alone the fourth book in the Hunter Mystery Series.

Never Walk Alone is the fourth book in the Hunter Mystery Series and I would have to say that it is my favorite by far. Never Walk Alone is filled with mystery and suspense from the very beginning. Once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down until I had read the whole thing. I liked that we got the story from different points of view. I liked being introduced to all the characters and learning how all their lives eventually intertwined. I enjoyed reading a story so close to what we are living now even though I didn’t enjoy the results that the story brought to some. A world filled with a virus/monster that is taking so many lives leaving only heartache in its place. Never Walk Alone has many of the same questions that I have asked myself pertaining to our situation today.

I highly recommend Never Walk Alone to all mystery, suspense and thriller fans. One click your copy of Never Walk Alone today!

 No Other Way
Harry Hunter Mystery Series Book 3

Shocking evidence hits close to home for Miami PD’s Detective Harry Hunter as Willow Rose’s bestselling series continues.

Three women went on a road trip to Key West. Only two returned. When asked what happened, their stories don’t completely match.

Who is telling the truth?

What are they hiding?

Detective Harry Hunter of the Miami PD is in church on a peaceful Sunday morning when a young teenager pulls out a gun and shoots his own father.

Once the shock is gone, Harry starts to ask himself the question no one else seems to care about: What makes a young boy want to kill his own father?

When more blood is shed, Harry suspects there’s a secret buried in this town that no one wants unearthed. What are the people around him not telling him?

NO OTHER WAY is the third book in the bestselling Harry Hunter Mystery Series.

Three women go on vacation in Key West, Florida. One of the women turns up missing. The other two women are questioned by the police. The two women explain to the police that the missing woman wanted to get away from her husband for a few days to blow off a little steam.

The women tell the police similar stories with one exception. One of the women says that the missing woman met a man at the party and left with him the other never mentioned the man until she is confronted about him by the police. Did the missing woman meet a man at the party? Did she leave with him? Who is this mysterious man? Where is the missing woman?

Ten years later Detective Harry Hunter and his daughter Josie are at church when a father and son sitting in front of them start having a loud argument while the preacher is giving his sermon. The father tries to get the son to be quite telling him this is not the place nor the time to be having a discussion of any kind. The son will not listen to his father and pulls a gun on him.

Detective Harry Hunter tries to talk to the kid and is making some progress when he is interrupted by a police officer. The police officer tells the kid to put the gun down but the kid doesn’t listen and ends up shooting his dad and the police officer shoots the kid sending both of them to the hospital fighting for their lives.

Later Harry starts to question why a son would hold a gun on his father and shoot him. What did the father do to the son to make him react in such a way? Did the father harm the son or maybe it was someone or something else that had the boy upset with his dad? When Harry starts to dig a little deeper into the case he finds out that the woman that went missing ten years ago is the boy’s mother and the father’s wife?

With his investigation Harry is uncovering a lot of secrets that a lot of people in the town want to stay buried. Secrets that have been buried for a long time by some close friends or people he thought were friends. Harry is shocked and hurt to learn the identities of the people involved in all the secrets, people he would never have thought could do something so terrible.

No Other Way is a fast paced read that had me hooked from the first page. Once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down until I had read the last page. It is filled with action from beginning to end. It is stocked full of emotion with some of it ripping your heart out. I felt so bad for Harry at times. How could any of it ever have happened? How can people be so cruel and heartless?

While some of the characters stories are coming to a close others are just beginning. I can’t wait to see what Detective Harry Hunter has in store for us in the next book Never Walk Alone.

If you like mystery, thriller or suspense books then I highly recommend No Other Way. But I would like to suggest that you start with the first book in the Harry Hunter Mystery series, All the Girls and then the second book Run Girl Run and then the third book No Other Way as you don’t want to miss a thing. Each book can be read as a standalone but what is the fun in that? Grab a copy today!

Run Girl Run
Harry Hunter Mystery Series Book 2

Willow Rose’s beloved detective, Harry Hunter is back in this thrilling second installment of the bestselling series.

When a mother and her child are pulled out of the harbor in their car, the case seems pretty straightforward for Miami PD and Detective Harry Hunter.

Everything points to a murder-suicide.

They were homeless, living in their car, and the mother decided to end it all for them both by driving into the water.

But the case is not what it looks like, Detective Harry Hunter soon realizes.

Harry’s daughter is carrying devastating knowledge about their deaths, and soon she becomes the killer’s next target.

As Harry races to protect her, he is betrayed by someone he thought he knew, leaving him terrified of trusting anyone in a town filled with liars.

RUN GIRL RUN is the second book in the Harry Hunter Mystery Series.

Goodreads * Amazon

A young girl and her mother have been living in their car only driving it when necessary like to school and when the mother is out looking for a job. They park in different places so that the cops hopefully won’t make them move or find out that they are homeless. The girl likes the days when she has to attend school to keep her mind off of their living situation and it keeps her from worrying about her mother. She hates the long weekends as she has nothing to do but sit in a hot car all day.

The young girl has nightmares about a scary looking man starring at her. One night the mother and daughter park their car at the harbor. The little girl is usually awake every hour making sure they are safe and no one is lurking around she is afraid for herself and her mother. On this particular night the girl wakes up to find their car in the water. She sees the man from her dreams on the dock and realizes that he pushed them in. She tries to wake her mother without any success.

Later they are pulled from the water and taken to the hospital. The mother is dead on the scene. The little girl was not breathing but her heart was still beating. Not she lays in a hospital bed on life support with no hope of ever recovering.

Detective Harry Hunter’s daughter Josie collapses and is rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest and is now in need of a heart or she will die. Of course this news upsets Harry tremendously and wondering why all these bad things are happening to his family. His wife is laying at home just recently awoken from a coma due to an over dose on drugs not able to speak or communicate.

Harry’s next door neighbor and friend is a nurse at the hospital. Jean is working when they find out that Josie needs a heart so she tells Harry about the little girl on life support. Her brain is dead but not her heart. The little girl is a match for Josie. The only problem is they need the next of kin’s consent to take her off life support and donate her heart.

Harry being a detective sets out to find the little girls next of kin to hopefully obtain their consent. After the next of kin is found, Josie receives the heart she needs to live and starts to recover at home. Things have changed for Josie things that she use to hate she now likes. Josie starts to have dreams about the little girl whose heart she received like the day she and her mother’s car was pushed into the water and about a lot of other things that now puts her life in danger as well.

Run Girl Run is a fast paced read that will have you racing around trying to figure out how all the character’s stories all come together in the end. It is filled with twists and turns from beginning to end. The suspense alone will keep you hooked and the pages flipping.

The characters are all so wonderful that they make you feel a connection with them. As I was reading Run Girl Run I could see it all playing out in my head like a movie or as if I was right there with Harry and Josie as they discovered what really happened on that awful eventful night that mother and daughter drowned.

I would like to recommend Run Girl Run to all fans of mystery, suspense and thriller. Although Run Girl Run can be read as a standalone I would suggest that you read the first book All the Good Girls so that you can get the whole picture and to learn more about Detective Harry Hunter and his wife.

All the Good Girls is a great introduction into a brand new world/series by Willow Rose. It is filled with action from the first page. It has so many twists and turns with so many secrets that it will have you racing to the end and flipping the pages faster and faster as you try to figure it all out but let me tell you with this mystery it is going to be a little harder than anticipated as All the Good Girls likes to hold on to its secrets revealing them slowly page after page.

All the Good Girls is about a Miami homicide police officer Detective Harry Hunter. Harry as a tendency of getting in trouble with his boss as he doesn’t like to follow the rules. Harry has a bad problem with drug dealers. Harry wants to get as many drugs as he possibly can off the streets and sometimes with any means necessary.. On occasion Harry will beat his suspects but will take a beating himself when he is not given a choice that is.

But you can’t blame him too much with what he has been through. Three years ago Harry’s wife of fourteen years OD on drugs putting her in a coma. Harry was left to raise their daughter Josie on his own. Harry has been taking care of Camille at home with the help of her best friend, Jean who is their next door neighbor as well.

All the Good Girls starts out with a bang as four high school girls who are partying on one of the girls father’s boat when they are murdered. A fifth girl turns up dead in a dumpster. All of the girls go to the same high school. All of the girls were wittiness to a girl Lucy being raped over a year ago. It was believed that the girls who wittiness the rape were being threatened to keep their mouths shut. The boy who was accused of the rape was never convicted as he has rich parents.

Harry has been assigned to protect the guy who was accused of raping Lucy as it is believed that he may be the next victim. Harry is not happy at being a babysitter as he is a detective and wishes to be on the case trying to find the killer but his boss is upset with him for beating up drug dealers. But as we know Harry is not one to follow the rules as it is probably inbred in him to be a detective and can’t help it besides he is good at his job.

All the Good Girls is a fast paced read that will keep you glued to your seat as you flip each page trying to figure out whodunit. It is filled with so many twists and turns that lead you in all sorts of directions as to who the killer is holding on to its secrets and only being revealed in the end. Oh and let me tell you, keep you guessing it will. You may think you have figured it all out but let me tell you once the secrets are all revealed you are surely to be surprised as I was.
