This is a story about a middle-aged woman who recently got divorced and thought she was open to companionship. She was very apprehensive about opening her heart again after being hurt badly by her ex-husband. To her surprise, she met someone on Match.com that seemed like the man of her dreams. They had so much in common and really enjoyed each other's company. He managed to convince her to be open to the possibility of falling in love again.

She ended up giving this man her heart only to find out that he wasn't the man of her dreams at all. He wasn't like her ex-husband but he had just as many issues. She found it difficult to be the woman that he needed her to be while not compromising her integrity and moral standards.

This story is told totally from her point of view. She is finally able to tell the love of her life everything that she wanted to say throughout their relationship. She is able to express her perspective on all the events that were occurring in their lives without feeling like she is being ungrateful for the good times but imagining the bad times.

She will take you through five years of her relationship. Will she figure out that she deserves so much better than how she was being treated? Or, will she talk herself into saving this relationship and giving her one true love another chance?

Interview with Latesha Kellam

For those interested in exploring the subject or theme of your book, where should they start?
Readers can explore the theme of my book by visiting my website at www.bestbooksbylateshakellam.com.
How did you become involved with the subject or theme of your book?
The subject of my book is based on some previous experiences that I had in romantic relationships.
What were your goals and intentions in this book, and how well do you feel you achieved them?
I was really motivated to share this story in order to bring light to some of the subtle mental abuse that can happen in a long-term relationship. The behaviors that are discussed are often overlooked or hidden from the most important people in our lives. I feel that I achieved my goal for this book, especially for the readers that are self-reflective and have had similar experiences.
Anything you would like to say to your readers and fans?
My message to my readers is that I wrote this book at a time in my life when I was hurting and didn’t feel good enough. After completing this story, I was able to realize that I am good enough and I deserve so much better in relationships than I was accepting. I want all of my readers to know that you are good enough and you deserve to be in a relationship that is worthy of you, just as you are.
What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
Writing this book was very therapeutic.
Can you tell us a little bit about your next books or what you have planned for the future?
I am currently working on a 3 part series. These books will also be inspired by some of my life experiences, but it will be a total fictional account. The books will not be in the form of a memoir this time around. I look forward to releasing the first book in this series by the end of the year.
Ho long have you been writing?
I have been writing since I was 14 years old, so 28 years and off.
Ca you tell us a little bit about the characters in The Match Disaster?
There are two main characters in The Match Disaster. Thomas and Lacey. Lacey is the narrator of the book and she is telling the story from her point of view. Thomas is her love interest who she fell madly in love with. He seemed like a wonderful guy on the surface but had some personality flaws that surfaced more throughout the relationship.

If you could spend the day with one of the characters from The Match Disaster who would it be? Please tell us why you chose this particular character, where you would go and what you would do.
If I could spend the day with one of the characters from The Match Disaster, I would spend the day with Lacey. I want to know more about her story. I would take her to a nice dinner where I could ask her questions about the parts of the story she seemed to leave out.
