Summary:

" Trapped underground with a mysterious scientist named Edison and his chess master AI, can Nala Nightingale find the will to live and to love in a dystopian future?

Set in post-pandemic Wind City, a young journalist races time against a certain natural destruction. Nala must decide between broadcasting the news of a lifetime or discovering keys to her orphaned past.

 My Review:

Time is running out, the timer has been set and it is ticking down as the world prepares for the end of the world as a natural catastrophe is about to hit the Earth killing everyone. Eighteen-year-old Nala is left behind to cover the end of the world on film. Nala is a journalist in training.

Just as the timer runs out Nala meets a young man, a scientist named Edison. Edison has a place in a cave underground where they can go and hopefully be safe. Nala spends the end of the world alone underground in this cave with Edison living day by day.

After the end of the world Nala and Edison set out to do what they can to try and save the human race or what it left of it. They meet others who can hopefully help them to save the human race and to rebuild life. The Earth needs to re-procreate. Edison believes Nala to be the best person for the job. The question is does Nala want the job?

Impact was a great fun little read. Once I picked it up I couldn’t stop reading until I had read the last page. Impact is one of those stories that will stay with me long after the last page is read. I would like to read more about these characters and their world before and after the crises that upset the world.

I would recommend Impact to all end of the world fans. One click your copy of Impact today to begin this wondrous adventure!

About the Author
K. Maze first clutched a crayon to record how the bird escaped the wired cage in kindergarten. Writing speculative stories stems from her parents’ obsession with B-rated horror shows like Son of Svengoolie, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and The Twilight Zone. She’s fascinated with strong female characters who tackle unbeatable odds, like bad*ss but innocent Eleven of Stranger Things, or Tulsa who falls for the boy-born-on-Mars while navigating Earth’s foster care system in The Space Between Us. When K. Maze is not immersed in stories, she is outdoors hiking with her family and pets or pondering the wisdom of Bob Ross. You can follow her on her website: kmazeauthor.com.
