Their dark secret could destroy her family

When Abbie Rambally meets the couple next door for the first time, she’s convinced something isn’t right. Why are the Paynes so fascinated with her oldest son and why do they ask so many probing questions about him? Then Abbie’s loyal and dependable nanny quits without giving notice, and Jenna Payne is only too happy to step in and help out. But Abbie begins to suspect that the Paynes’ choice of neighborhood was no accident.

Though Abbie wants to believe she can trust her neighbors, too many things about the couple don’t add up. So when a stranger in a café calls Jenna by a different name and insists they’ve met before, one thing becomes clear. If Abbie doesn’t uncover what the Paynes are hiding, her family will be in terrible danger.

From an award-winning author comes the latest installment in the “gripping and powerful” Fearless Series. This nail-biting psychological thriller can be read as a stand-alone, and will leave you breathless until the final, jaw-dropping twist.

My Review:

Abbie Rambally is a full time college student working on her degree. Abby and her doctor husband have three children, a ten-year-old and twins. Trouble starts to brew in the Rambally household when their full time Nanny fails to show up to take care of the children. Abby is running behind and wondering what she is going to do with the children when their new neighbor shows up on their door step right out of the blue asking if she can be of any help.

This neighbor is very inquisitive about Abbey’s ten-year-old asking lots of questions with some not being any of her business. Abbey is very suspicious of the neighbor’s questions but without any other choice she lets her drop her children off at school.

Abbey receives a note from the Nanny letting her know that she has quilt and the reason why and where she is. The letter seemed awful suspicious to Abbey but without any proof what could she do. She had to take the woman at her word, right? Abbey isn’t so sure that the Nanny even wrote the note herself.

The Nanny’s body is found in the park. The ten-year-old son is missing and no one knows where he is or who took him. Abbey and her husband are beside themselves with worry for their oldest child. Abbey begins to really suspect the neighbors.

Winds of Fear is the third book in the Fearless series and can be read as a standalone as it is the first book that I have read in the series and the first book by Gledé Browne Kabongo that I have read as well.

Winds of Fear is a fast paced read that had me hooked from the first page and kept me hanging on right up until the last page was turned. The suspense alone kept me turning the pages wondering how it all was going to turn out.

I loved all the characters especially the children. The characters were written in such way that you would like to meet them in real life if that were possible. They seemed to be just that kind of people you know good people who loved and took great care of their children. They tried to do all things right to keep their children safe.

I would recommend Winds of Fear to anyone looking for a great read! One click that copy today!

I haven’t read the first two books in the Fearless series but I would like to. I would like to know more about Abbey and her past. More about the whole family. I would like to know more about the children especially Lucas.
