SYNOPSIS:

The Olympian gods have caused Hope nothing but chaos…

Hope escaped the Underworld with her life, but her memories are as blank as the Book of the Fates she brought back. Still determined to break the curse, she and Xan take an offering to the Olympian temple to solicit the goddess Artemis for aid. But the petition has disastrous results, and now the gods are hunting her.

Athan sacrificed everything for Hope, but she’s leaving him behind to travel with Xan to Mount Olympus. But the closer they get, the more Athan’s mortality becomes a liability. Forced to seek refuge in mists and darkness, Athan tangles with deities that weave the very threads of fate. But these goddesses also wield the immortal blades that lay ruin to destinies.

With everyone she loves damaged or destroyed by the blood of Olympus, Hope must face the power of the past to change the fate of her future.

My Review:

Hope is back from the underworld with no memory but she still has a curse to break and break she will or at least she will keep fighting to break it for as long as she breathes.

Hope needs to talk to one of the Gods to get help in breaking her curse so she needs to go to Mount Olympus but there is one little ole’ problem and that is she needs an invite from one of the Gods. So now she is on a mission to see all the Gods until she finds her invite.

Hope takes Xan along for the ride on her journey to find her invite with the Gods on Mount Olympus. Hope and Xan will face tragedy and a lot of obstacles on their journey to Mount Olympus. But Hope and Xan are very good fighters and make a good team.

Hope has come a long way in growing up and maturing since the first book in The Sphinx series Cursed by the Gods. I have so enjoyed going with Hope on her journeys of trying to find a way to break the curse and on being with her when she met Athan, Xan, Dahlia, Haley, Mr. Stanley, the Fates and the Furies, Nyx and all the other characters for the first time.

This has been one amazing journey and one I am going to miss so much. The Sphinx series has been my favorite books on mythology so far. I think every book I pick up on mythology I will probably always compare it to the Sphinx series to see how it stands up. The Sphinx series is going to be one tough cookie to beat. I have enjoyed every book in the Sphinx series including the short stories and am very thankful to Raye for giving me the opportunity to have met Hope, Xan, Athan, Dahlia and all the rest of the crew. Thank you Raye for this wonderful world of the Sphinx. I am going to miss every one of the characters but hopefully we have not seen the last of them.

If you have not read the Sphinx series then I would love to suggest that you give it a try if you love reading about the Gods and Goddess and mythology or just want an amazing new story to try.

Author Bio:

Raye Wagner grew up in an urban fantasy just outside of Seattle, Washington. As the second of eight children, she was surrounded by monsters, demons, and her sometimes mortal parents. She read heaps of fantasy while locked away in the upstairs room of the family cottage.

Raye studied the art of medicine long before she had an interest in the Gods on Mount Olympus.

One sunny afternoon, the history of Apollo’s ancient curse and the myth of the Sphinx dropped into Raye’s consciousness. She writes young adult fiction for teens and adults.
Curse of the Sphinx, a YA urban mythology, is her first novel. Demigods and Monsters, the second book in the Sphinx series, will be released April 2016.
