Highlander meets Twilight with a dash of Fifty Shades of Grey in this vampire romantasy…

Caelin MacGregor is an ancient king with a new love

Ages ago, I ruled a clan of vampire raiders. We were allies to the Vikings and enemies of the Rus. That life ended when the bloodkin plague wiped out all our women, including my beloved vampire bride, Elisava. A thousand years have passed. My heart remains empty. Then I see a human woman named Lexa. For the first time in ages, I feel true desire, respect and love. Could Lexa actually be a lost bloodkin lady … or is she a horrible trick from Pyri, the ancient fire goddess of the Rus raiders?

Lexa Uznetsov has a plan

To save my sister, Sash, I took on my father’s debt to Konstantin the Rus, leader of the New York Bratva. As a result, my life became a never-ending (and incredibly illegal) stakeout for the mob. After years of scheming, I’ve finally come up with a solid escape plan: find all three pieces of the infamous Veil Pendant. Once I reassemble this magical item, I’ll have the power to cure my sister … as well as the ability to say buh-bye to Konstantin. Sure, legends warn that reforming the Veil Pendant may bring about some nastiness called Pyri’s doomsday. Yet if it saves Sash, I’m willing to risk anything.

Veils and Vampires is amazing! It has action and adventure and a little spicy. Enough that it makes you drool and want more. Honestly a totally different take on modern day vampire soulmates. I devoured this book in one sitting.” – Teresa, Goodreads

My Review:

Veils and Vampires is the second book in the Vampires of the Daemonverse by Cee Bee. Veils and Vampires pulled me deep into its world the moment I began to read. It was just as good if not better than the first book Violins and Vampires. I loved the twists on vampires. I loved the world that was created for Veils and Vampires.

Lexa is trying her best to take care of and keep her sister Sash safe. Sash is very sick and she is quickly running out of her medicine. Lexa is doing everything in her power to save her. She must find the Gray Woman if she is to save her sister.

Lexa has a mission to complete if she wants to save her sister and everyone else. Her journey may be long and perilous but she will let nothing stop her from finding what she needs to save her sister.

King Caelin has a mission of his own that he must complete. He is leading an army to help rescue his friend Hunter’s fated mate Fifeur who has been taken and hidden away in a dungeon. Hunter and Caelin are determined to follow through on their mission and save Fifeur if that is the last thing they do.

Caelin envies Hunter his fated mate as he has been looking for his own for a long time. He searches the faces of every woman he comes upon to see if she is his fated mate but so far he has not laid eyes on her. Will Caelin find his fated mate? Can they save Fifeur before it is too late? Why is Fifeur being held captive in the first place?

Lexa and Caelin just may be on the lookout for the same thing and for the same reasons. But are they truly on the same side? Will their journeys collide?

I can’t wait to read more about the twists on vampires and about the Bloodkin vampires in Vampires of the Daemonverse world with the third book Vixens and Vampires.

I highly recommend Veils and Vampires to all fans of vampires! Grab a copy of Veils and Vampires today!
