For the first time since Tessa met Dastien, life is quiet. The evil witch, Luciana, is six glorious feet under, St. Ailbe’s is closed due to human trespassers, and people are finally getting used to the fact that supernaturals exist in the world. It seems like the perfect time for a honeymoon.

After traveling to Dastien’s house in Provence, clubbing in Paris, and attending Meredith and Donovan’s Full Moon Ceremony in Ireland, Tessa and Dastien head to the Caribbean. Their trip is turning out to be the honeymoon that fantasies are made of-sunset cruises, long walks on the beach, and every romantic cliché you can imagine. Tessa couldn’t be happier. Except that Tessa’s visions are on the fritz. She hopes that means that nothing is brewing. That everything is quiet because all is well. But Tessa’s never been one to assume anything.

When she’s magically attacked and nearly dies, Tessa knows she can’t ignore the signs anymore. Something huge is going on. As much as she doesn’t want to call an end to their six-week honeymoon, it’s time to head back to Texas.

Whoever messed with Tessa is in for a rude awakening. Because if there’s one thing fighting rogue witches and werewolves has taught her, it’s how to be Alpha.

My Review:

Tessa and her mate Dastien are honeymooning in the Caribbean when she is attacked magically by something very strong and powerful and it tells her you are mine they decide it is time to pack their bags and head home.

When Tessa is attacked she is drawn into a black abyss where there is nothing but blackness and she is totally blind. She knows there is something powerful there with her and she knows she has to get out soon or she never will. This thing that is in there with her and telling her that she belongs to him also tells her that he is going to kill all her friends and that he is going to cause the end of the world.

Tessa must find her way back to her mate and her world if she is ever going to find a way to stop what or whoever is attacking her. With the help of her mate Dastien she finally sees their bond so she grabs on to it and pulls her way back to him.

Tessa and Dastien head home to talk with their friends Claudia, Lucas, Chris as well other weres and witches. They need their help to find out what attacked her and find a way to stop it.

Tessa takes us on more than one wild and dangerous journey through her visions and with the help of others to different worlds or realms. Being Alpha has all the action you will ever need or want and it will keep you entertained from beginning to end.

Being Alpha is like a magnet that just keeps on pulling until you feel as if you are falling down, down, down right into its world not wanting to miss a thing. I would be sitting there calmly reading it and then I would catch myself on the edge of my seat with the adrenaline pumping rooting for Tessa and saying no, no, no right along with her. It is filled with so much action that you will honestly be glued to it and falling deeper and deeper into its depths.

I can’t get enough of the werewolves and the witches in this series although this is only the second book I have read. I have read Shattered Pack and loved it just as much. I really want to check out the rest of the series so that I can get to know Tessa, Dastien and all the other characters a little bit more.

If you like werewolves and witches then you are going to love Being Alpha.

Great review, Nancy! This sounds like another great instalment! I should really give this series a try myself I haven't had a good dose of paranormal in a while!
