Audrey wrinkled her brow and considered. “Several years ago, maybe, but they seemed to get worse around the time Luke first arrived. That was about six months ago.”
“Who’s Luke?”
“The hacker who went rogue.”
“Is Luke a class ten?”
“No, of course not. I don’t work with class tens. You’re the exception. Why are you glaring at me?”
Kevin had risen from the couch and was pacing. “If you don’t normally work with class tens, don’t you find it strange that you would be given an assignment to cure an incurable former hacker who is one?”
She sat forward. “Well, of course, I found it strange I was asked to work with you. I questioned it, but my boss didn’t know the reason. He’s new to the program and not well-versed in CMU policies. And for your information, I’m pretty good at what I do. I’ve had some success working with damaged hackers. Up until Luke, I had a fantastic reputation and was on my way to a promotion.”
“Your reputation may be in shreds for a reason. Your memory loss isn’t random. The person who removed your blocks knew what they were doing.”
“Why would someone do this?”
“You must have witnessed something you shouldn’t have. That would be the only reason to erase your memory. They could have removed your blocks to make you an easy target for hackers to invade your mind. If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say whoever’s behind this caused Luke to go rogue so you’d be fired.”
“But I was told I can come back if I’m able to cure you. Why would they give me the opportunity to return if they wanted me permanently gone?”
He clapped his hands together. “That’s it! It’s not counterintuitive because you can’t cure me, and whoever this is knows it. They sent you here because they know you’ll spend all your time trying. It’s only an excuse to get you away from the situation. In the end you will fail, and you won’t be able to return to the CMU. But in the meantime, you’ll be out of the way.”
She got up slowly. My God, it made a convoluted sense. A cold chill crawled down her spine, and she shivered. They had sent her here deliberately and didn’t intend to give her job back. How would she ever earn the money she needed to meet her monthly expenses? Her mother would suffer because she couldn’t get the care needed for severe stroke patients. Her sister would be a Harvard dropout.
She dropped her head in her hands. She didn’t realize she was shaking until a pair of powerful arms encircled her, pulling her into a hard male chest.
My Review of Dark Minds
Dr. Audrey Gilbert a Paranormal psychiatrist misdiagnosed a patient and is fired. In order to get her job back, she is asked to find a mind hacker, Kevin Jorgensen. Kevin is a very powerful mind hacker. The people Audrey works for want her to find Kevin, fix him and bring him back to work for them.
Audrey needs her job so she can take care of her sick mother and pay for her expensive hospital bills and also pay for her sister’s college tuition. So without any other choice, Audrey accepts this new job to find one Kevin Jorgensen.
Dark Waves is a very thrilling and intense story that kept me glued to the pages. It is filled with lots of suspense, mystery, twists, and secrets. There was this one gigantic twist at the end that I never suspected. It was kept quite hidden throughout the whole story and when it finally did reveal itself I was left with my mouth hanging open literally. I was like why did I not see that one coming?
Dark Waves may be a short book but it packs a big punch as it reads like a full-length novel. I felt as if the story was complete in every way. I didn’t feel as if anything was missing. Dark Waves carries a lot of power and could easily stand on its own.
But like other books, there are still some things that I would like to know more about. But in my opinion, that is what makes a great writer when they leave you wanting more. Wanting more as in wanting to know more about Audrey and Kevin’s lives before Dark Waves.

My Review of Mind Waves
Mind Waves grabbed my attention with the summary. Once I had read the summary I knew right then and there that I had to read it. I was not disappointed in the least. Mind Waves was everything it promised to be and so much more.
I loved that it was paranormal but was written as if it could have been happening now instead of in another world or time. That summary got me with ”..infiltrate minds, erase and implant thoughts…”. Yeah, once I had read that I just had to know more. I had to know what all of that would consist of.
Mind Waves is a very suspenseful book that held on to its secrets releasing them slowly. Talk about being on the edge of your seat I definitely was. Mind Waves is also a nail-biting event as it pumps up the adrenaline that kept me racing to the end to see where it was taking me.
Mind Waves was a great start to a new series for me. I can’t wait to see where the other books take me and the characters.
I loved the romance between David and Grace. I love how hard they fell for each other. I loved the connection they had from the moment they met. I could practically see the sparks flying in that first moment.

My Review of Cross Waves
Cross Waves started out with a blast and kept on going with the action jumping off the pages. Once I picked it up there was no way I could lay it down until I had read that last page. The action and suspense were so intense. Talk about a nail-bitter Cross Waves is just that.
I mean from the first page sparks were flying between the two main characters, Rolf Jorgensen and Geneva Ericksen. And I mean there was more than one kind of spark flying between these two. I mean I thought these two did not care for one another at all but the more I read I began to wonder what were these two hiding. There definitely seemed like they were carrying around a lot of secrets that they were keeping from their selves and each other.
When Rolf’s sister Julia goes missing Rolf and Geneva are assigned as partners to look for her. Rolf and Geneva both are against working together but their boss believes they are the best choice. Rolf and Geneva both have very strong powers that work well together even if they don’t.
Cross Waves kept me on the edge of my seat as well and racing to the end to see where it was all going to lead. There was so much action page after page that there was no way to get bored as it flew off the page. Cross Waves pulled me into its depths with all the action that never stopped.
I can’t wait to see which character’s story comes next after Cross Waves. I can’t wait to read more about this world and all its characters. I love the magic and each character's powers. I loved the mind hacking. I can’t wait to see where the author goes next with the mind hacking.
I loved the Mind Hackers series so much that I would highly recommend that all paranormal, suspense, mystery, action, and magic fans grab a copy today!
