My Review:

The Accident tells the story of three different people and is told from each of their points of view. It tells how their lives are intertwined after a tragic accident that result in the death of a little boy that was only seven years old. We get to see the story through each character's point of view. We get to know how this accident affected their lives.

The Accident is a very intense read that didn’t pull any stops when it came to making me feel what the characters were experiencing and feeling. Once I picked it up I couldn’t take my eyes off those pages. It was like watching a movie and you're sitting there just waiting for the next scene or event to take place. The suspense is so intense and strong as it pulls you deeper and deeper into its depths.

Anni and her little boy, Tobi is on their way home from a birthday party for one of Tobi’s friends. Anni and Tobi are walking home and enjoying the day and just being outside.

Anni is holding Tobi’s hand until she is distracted at the same time his hand slips out of hers as his balloon goes flying away. Tobi chases his balloon out into the traffic. Anni’s life is never the same from that day forth.

After Anni goes back to work she meets Jo, a woman who seems to be just as distraught as herself. Something is upsetting Jo tremendously and being the person she is Anni decides to be her friend. Anni really needs a friend at the moment as she is all alone now.

She probably is thinking that Jo could use a friend as well. Anni needs someone she can talk to about what happened to Tobi. But then Anni starts to notice that something is not quite right about Jo. It feels like she is hiding something. What could she be hiding?

The Accident has lots of big twists that keep popping up page after page. It kept me in suspense from beginning to end. And speaking of endings that is one ending that I definitely never saw coming I was astonished but not really surprised. I think that The Accident would make a great Netflix series.

While The Accident was the first book by Daniel Hurst that I have read I don’t expect it to be the last. I do believe that The Accident was one of the best books that I have read this year. I can’t wait to see what else this author has to offer.

I highly, highly recommend The Accident to all fans of mysteries, thrillers, and Psychological thrillers! Grab your copy of The Accident today for one of the best psychological thrillers of all time!
