Blurb:
Ten abducted humans. Seven Fae regents in need of mates. Welcome to the Mating Games.
Since being cured by the Fae as a sickly child, Kennedy has only had one goal: mate with the High Court Prince, Heston, and become High Queen. But there’s one problem, and that problem’s name is Pria. In order to become High Queen, she must race Pria through the forest to Heston. But when one of her new friends is in danger, she can’t ignore the call. Will this indulgence cost her everything?
Prince Dionys has only cared about one thing since he was cursed: getting revenge on King Sin of the Shadow Court for cursing him. But as he’s in the thick of the Mating Games, that appears to be easier said than done, especially with that feisty, admittedly gorgeous Kennedy appearing at every turn. He can’t afford to get distracted. No matter how powerful her draw may be.
Meanwhile, Evee and Justin race through the forest to find Brooke and save her from Sin. But she’s nowhere to be found. Are they too late? Did they sacrifice their freedom in vain?

My Review:
When Kennedy was a child she was very sick. She had to stay in the hospital all the time. Her parents took turns staying with her. Then one day Kennedy was visited by the fae who healed her.
Humans have been brought to the fae realm to play the Mating Games. The Mating Games is an old ritual where unwed fae regents chase humans through the forest. If the humans are caught they will become the fae’s mate.
Ever since Kennedy was healed by the fae she has wanted to mate with the High Court Prince, Heston, and become High Queen. Kennedy has some pretty stiff competition, Pria. If Kennedy plans on being the High Queen then she has to beat Pria in a race through the forest.
But there is one problem a friend of hers is in need of her help. If she stops to help this friend then it could cost her the race and her prince charming. What will she do? Will she stop to help her friend? Or will she leave this friend by the wayside to fend for himself? Will Kennedy win the race? Will Kennedy find her mate?
Mated by Midnight had me racing through the pages as I followed Kennedy on hers. Mated by Midnight grabbed my attention from that first page and kept hanging on right up until the end. Oh, wait did I say until the end? Oh, boy am I ever wrong as it is still hanging on. Each and every scene is still playing out in my head as I sit here writing this review.
Mated by Midnight like the first book Taken by Twilight is just as intense and the suspense just deepens more and more as the pages turn. As with Taken by Twilight, Mated by Midnight reminded me even more of The Hunger Games.
I can't wait for more of The Mating Games. I can't wait to see what these wonderful characters have waiting for us in the next book Devoured by Dawn. Sadly I have a long wait as it is not due to be released until March 28, 2023.
Grab your copy of Mated by Midnight today! I highly recommend this one to all Vampire fans!
