My Review:
Seventeen-year-old Blaze Planter is a Jr. at Kilwade, High
School. Blaze has been feeling down for a long time now. He feels like nobody
likes him. He feels like he is all alone. He feels like no one has tried to
reach out to him to help make things better or to just ask if he is ok. His
heart is breaking. He feels as if everyone is ripping his heart right out of
his chest.
His parents are divorced. His dad never comes around or even
tries to talk to him anymore. He feels as if no one wants him around and that
they would probably be better off if he wasn’t around. Blaze has other more
depressing issues that he doesn’t want to talk about or even think about things
that he has hidden even from himself. Things that he has pushed way down deep
in his heart trying to harden his heart from all the pain but without much
success.
Blaze has a plan to help relieve him of some of the pain or
so he thinks. Blaze has been working on this plan for a while now. He wants
others to hurt like he has and to pay for the pain they have caused him.
The Kilwade Tragedy tells the story of how one boy felt and
the tragedy it led to of all the pain and anguish he was going through and how
if just one person has spoken up sooner maybe things could have turned out
differently. The Kilwade Tragedy is based off of real life tragedies of things
that are happening in our today.
The Kilwade Tragedy is filled with heart break, pain, hurt,
anger, tragedy a tragedy that will rip your heart out. The Kilwade Tragedy left
me with so many emotions. It had me in bawling like a baby on more than one
occasion. Why do people have to be so mean to each other? Why can’t we just
love one another and not hate? Why can’t we just treat others like we want to
be treated even better? Why is there so much hate in the world?
The Kilwade Tragedy was a heart wrenching book to read but
worth every bit of it.
