It doesn’t take long for rules to be broken, for people to fight dirty, and for it to seem like something is amiss with the federally mandated simulation. Cassie and her squad are faced with discovering the intentions of the Chi Rho Iota Corporation as well as partaking in a war game that claims to be harmless when it’s anything but safe.

My Review:
Fourteen-year-old Cassie Routhier’s only worries are playing
well in the band, dance class and preforming well in her classes presentation
of The Nutcracker and telling a guy in an upper class that she likes him. Well
that is until the day this group called the Chi Rho Iota Corporation comes to
their school and informs all the students that they have to participate in War
Games XRI.
The students have no choice in if they want to participate in
the War Games or not as the Chi Rho Iota Corporation is backed by the
government. The Chi Rho Iota Corporation has taken over the school with
intentions of preparing the students for World War III.
The games are done in a simulation with no danger to the
students supposedly that is but once the games start the students are not so
sure if that is the case as some of the students start to play dirty dangerously
putting students’ lives in peril and causing real harm.
Cassie and her classmates figure out real quick like that
something is not right and plan to do everything in their power to figure out
what is happening and hopefully save a few lives before someone is truly hurt
or worse. Can Cassie and her team figure out what is going on before it is too late?
What are the Chi Rho Iota Corporations true intentions?
When I read the summary for Limited Truth I thought I knew
how the story may play out but boy was I wrong. The summary does not do it
justice as there is way more to the story than it states.
Cassie and her classmates may only be high school students
but they are tough and learn to work well together to accomplish their task and
make it through the simulation with their lives intact hopefully. I think this
simulation teaches them or shows more about themselves than they knew and they
learn that they can accomplish more than they thought they could when they put
their minds to it. They will keep you on the edge of your seat with the old
adrenaline pumping as they fight their way through the games.
Limited Truth is a fast paced read that will have you
flipping the pages faster and faster as the students race and fight their way
through each game, rooting for them the whole way. The action is non-stop from
beginning to end. I can’t wait for the next book to see where Cassie and her
teammates take us next.
I loved Limited Truth and highly recommend it to all sci-fi
fans.
