Imprisoned citizens. A devoted friend. Will Robyn Hood commit treason against her family and country for justice?

Robyn Loxley has led a privileged life, adopted by the city's most wealthy and influential family. But her entire world begins to crumble when WWII breaks out and her best friend is hauled off to a Japanese-American concentration camp. Horrified and enraged, she vows to free him no matter the cost.

Her family life isn't exactly what it always seemed either. With her adopted brother Richard off at war, the younger John has taken over the family, and he's willing to do almost anything to stay in power. As she digs deeper, she discovers dark truths about those who took her in, and she must answer what justice means to her and what she’s willing to do to exact it.

Robyn and the merry band get an update in this dieselpunk adventure.

My Review:

As the summary says Robyn and the merry band get an update in this dieselpunk adventure. That is so very true but I will have to say that it was the greatest of updates. I loved the new take on Robyn Hood. I liked that Robyn Hood was a girl and a tough one at that.

Robyn grew up with a wealthy family never needing or wanting anything. Robyn and her sister Marian were adopted by the Lacklands after the death of their parents. Robyn has always been grateful for everything the Lacklands have done for her and her sister until the day she learned the Lacklands had something to hide.

The Treason of Robyn Hood takes place in 1942 during WWII. Robyn has a friend, Will who has been taken to a Japanese-American concentration camp. When Robyn hears about Will she is furious and is very determined to find a way to break him out if it is the last thing she ever does.

When secrets about her adoptive family are revealed Robyn is livid with rage and vows to set things right. Robyn and her merry men take from those that have and give to those who don’t.

The Treason of Robyn Hood is loaded with action from beginning to end with nary a dull moment in between. Robyn and her merry men will take you on the ride of your life and will keep you on your toes from one page to another as you follow them on their merry journey.

I would recommend The Treason of Robyn Hood to all fans of Robin Hood and fans of fairy-tale retellings. Grab your copy of The Treason of Robyn Hood today and step into Sherwood forest for a merry adventure!

Author Bio:

D. Lieber has a wanderlust that would make a butterfly envious. When she isn’t planning her next physical adventure, she’s recklessly jumping from one fictional world to another. Her love of reading led her to earn a Bachelor’s in English from Wright State University.

Beyond her skeptic and slightly pessimistic mind, Lieber wants to believe. She has been many places—from Canada to England, France to Italy, Germany to Russia—believing that a better world comes from putting a face on “other.” She is a romantic idealist at heart, always fighting to keep her feet on the ground and her head in the clouds.

Lieber lives in Wisconsin with her husband (John) and cats (Yin and Nox).
